Bekker/Hernandez’s FD is very much not for me, but it does address some gripes I’ve had about them the last couple of seasons (not looking at each other when they skate, male centric programme choices).

I’ll grudgingly give them a pass on the repeated lifts since developing new lifts probably isn’t compatible with a shoulder injury, but it’s a weakness for them.

And the usual problems with wonky twizzles and probably an extended lift deduction, but doing better at maintaining energy through the programme.

Did Mark text Ted during the programme to tell him there’s no competition for the Olympic spot?

It's always been that way for Ice Dance - it's one of the most annoying things about NBC's own tech trackers the last few years.

I’m watching the holds that they’re skating and I have to say that the fully sequined pseudo-corset cannot feel good for Hernandez. Those little plastic bits are sharp-edged!
With Bekker hitting that amazing curved handstand, I just thank their styling team that her panties match the dress closely enough. That being said, his shirt would’ve been better if it matched her dress or had some contrast, not generic tea-stained beige.

I liked the stationary/rotational lift as the music/story was transitioning into the dramatics. They are developing nicely!

That one straight-line lift was super dramatic. I enjoyed the program probably because it wasn't very R+J.

I disagree. They’re dramatic and visually well-matched, I thought that was a very good R&D.
