Very good actor! Amazing person! Academy probably underrated him! But what performance to nominate? Guess who’s coming to dinner, in the heat of the night or to sir with love?

Then he chose to move to directing. He directed Pryor/wilder comedies which was unusual

As a kid I was so fond of Lilies of the Field. It was one of the films we where alowed to watch on TV.

To wake to hear Peter Bogdonavic had died, and less than two hours later, Sidney Poitier also.... It's not a great day for fans of classic movies. Bleah.
