Frank Sinatra Jnr has passed away suddenly after suffering a heart attack.
His family state that he died unexpectedly whilst on tour in Florida. He had cancelled a show after feeling light headed, and then passed away in hospital a few hours later. Although Frank Jnr was 72, one of those who he is survived by is his mother, Nancy (Frank Sinatra Snr's first wife), as well as sisters, Nancy Jnr and Tina.
Although Frank Jnr lived in the shadow of his father, he was a talented singer in his own right and toured extensively performing his fathers songbook (in a show called 'Sinatra Sings Sinatra').
Frank Jnr was kidnapped in 1963 when he was 19. Frank Snr offered the criminals $1 million for Frank Jnr's release. The kidnappers rejected the offer, and somewhat bizarrely made a counter-offer for $240,000! Frank Snr accepted, his son was released, and not surprising the bungling kidnappers, dubbed as rank amateurs by prosecutors, were caught a few days later.
Frank Jnr successfully acted as his fathers musical director during the last 10 years of his fathers life.
