Recurring Dreams/Nightmares

Do you have them? Or have you had them in the past?
It has been some time ago but during finals week I would dream that I was late to class and arrived just in time to take the exam only to realize I was wrapped in a towel with wet hair.
Also do you ever have vivid dreams that seem to pick up occasionally from one night to the next night?

My own variation on the "test where you haven't studied the material" nightmare is the "dance recital where you don't know the choreography."

When I used to be a server, it was a constant nightmare of getting so far behind with my tables and basically just walking out of the job because I didn't know what to do. Endless times I had this happen.
I've also had dreams about my tooth breaking and I promptly wake up to check, but I know that one is common and signifies something you are powerless to control/avoid.

Completely random- but I've had such outlandish dreams that sometimes I wake up right in the middle of it cracking up at myself. Has anyone else done this?

I inexperienced an extent of housing insecurity when I was younger, and have had many dreams in which I was looking for a place to live or without a place to live. Or dreams in which I'd find myself living in a certain city and wonder what I was doing there.

For years I had a recurring dream where I was sitting on the back-end of a caboose, dangling my legs over the side. The train was meandering, slowly, through the woods. It was always a very short dream, almost like a segment. Without fail, within a couple of weeks of my having this dream, somebody I knew, died. I've had psychics tell me I had "power" so perhaps that was one way it manifested itself.

Also, while living in Southern California, I had a recurring dream that I had to leave, suddenly, & return back East due to family issues. In this dream, I realized I couldn't get back to Southern California where I wanted to be and where I considered my home. Sometimes I would wake up crying from this dream. Sadly, it came true.

Way too many different recurring bad dreams over the years. I'll spare you so you don't feel the need to psychoanalyze me!

However, not a nightmare, but back when I was in the end of the year rink recital, I woke up in the middle of the night standing on the opposite side of the bed from where I get in and out, with my arms out shoulder level because I was dreaming about the group finale where all the groups did a routine (like a precision routine) together, and I was standing in line. Sadie looked at me like I was crazy.

And I woke up at the exact time my aunt died - 2:15 a.m. - in the middle of a dream that she was driving and my mom and I were getting out of her car in my parents's driveway like any Saturday. We all said she woke me up to say good-bye. The next day at work, my phone rang (before we had caller ID) and I said that's somebody calling to tell me my aunt died. And it was.

I used to always have one nightmare about an out of control classroom a week or two before the semester started. The unusual part to me was that it was always just once, rather than a recurring thing, and toward the end of my time teaching, I would sometimes realize it in the dream or as I was still waking up like "oh this is that one dream I always have one time close to the beginning of the semester." It wasn't the same every time, but it was always the same scenario.

I occasionally dream that I am in school and that I don't do the work necessary to get to the next grade.

For some reason, even though I finished university years ago, I have recurring dreams of being late or missing a final exam?

I am inclined to have nightmares if I get too warm during the night. When I was in my teens ( a long time ago) I would have a recurring dream of being lost in a swampy area but coming upon a creepy old house. Never went in & never found my way out of the swamp.
