Tea or coffee or Soda or something else?

Coffee in the morning; black tea in the afternoon. Any tea turns my stomach in the morning. I think I can't handle the tannins on an empty stomach.
I have the same effect from certain brands and only if the tea is really strong. Think Ahmed tea does it to me while Twinings does not. On the same note - the tea in the UK is always much stronger than the tea in Israel (I don't know whether it's the amount of tea in each teabag or the water quality. Kind of understood why the brits add milk though); the tea in France is always more tasty than anywhere else (that's the water quality for sure); the tea in the USA was absolutely disgusting (the tea bags that were everywhere with some weird flavour - not orange, but something like? I was told the USA is a cofee country and the coffee is good. May be, didn't try. That was in 2008, perhaps things improved since)

Coffee - don't like the flavour and can't stand the after taste and the smell from the mouth afterwards.
Icy drinks - I manage to give myself a brain freeze almost every time, so it's easier to not even try.
Sparkling drinks - don't get what is nice about it. I don't like the feeling of the bubbles in my mouth, so all the sparkling drinks are off (is that what you call `soda'?). Various cokes etc are not only sparkling which I dislike, but they are way too sweet and it's just not tasty. Orangina (in France) is the only sparkling drink I can endure.

Which leaves me with warm water when hiking/skating and lots of black tea during the day. My favourites are black tea with fruity flavours (lichee was the best; there is a french tea with a rose flavour that I love, the apricot is nice, red fruits, raspberries - anything not exotic and not too adventurous) and, of course, earl grey or lady grey. I have no idea what is the effect of the caffeine - I drink tea before going to sleep and don't need anything special to start functioning in the morning (I do drink tea just to drink something, it's just more tasty than a warm water)
My co-workers joke when I run out of steam that I need to be refilled with the tea, several jobs ago when asking me to do something I didn't like doing they would bring a cup of tea as a bribe:)
