Peyton's surgery

No, not Peyton Manning. Baby Peyton, cousin's grandson. (However, he was baptized on Superbowl Sunday!!!)

I couldn't figure out how to find the old thread.

Kidney surgery is tomorrow. Grandmother has a bad cold. They have to be at the hospital at 6:15 a.m.

Not yet. They'll be staying at the hospital with him at least tonight. And my cousin doesn't use her phone to send emails. I'll have to wait till she gets back home.

Pertinent excerpts from email - Surgery went well. Painful recovery, he screams bloody murder every time he pees, which is to be expected since he had a catheter, but is still hard to hear, it will probably heal in 3-4 days (my guess not the doc's). His urologist might repeat kidney die test in 6 mos or a year to make sure the valve is still closing correctly......... Peyton Thomas caught a cold, so on top of recovering from surgery he can't breath. He also has a deep chest cough which we are watching closely. If it gets worse we will take him to the pediatrician tomorrow...... Motrin every 8 hrs
