Should figures be phased back in for the 2030 Olympics?

@gkelly figures were a separate discipline in the US for a period during the 90’s.

IIRC they were still required for testing but for competition they were separate.

In the early 1990s they were still required for testing and still combined in competition up through novice and then only intermediate level, but separated at higher levels.

In the later 1990s, after the introduction of Moves in the Field, they were completely separate and not required at all levels.

The tests are still on the books, but hardly anyone ever takes them.
 
Given the technical difficulties, skaters are already going for, training for, and managing injuries from, why add figures back into the training regime? Granted, figures are not likely to cause injuries and could enhance skating skills, but maybe they could be a part of early training and novice/junior competition requirements.
