Neko Atsume kitty collector -- any other addicts?

So I finally got Tubbs and was like "at least he's supposed to leave a good amount of fish"

He left me 1 stinking silver fish. :P
 
I got the mr mouse toy yesterday to try to attract Senor Don Gato. He did come, twice, but I missed him. However I did see a couple of other kitties "playing" with it, and I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but the animation makes it look like they're, um, doing something else with it ...

He did that the first time he came for me, but most of the times since then he's left between 10 and 40 fish. And last night he left 63.
 
BTW, do you all know about using the passwords to get daily fish? Tap "News" to get the password, then tap "Other > Connect" to enter it. You'll get free fish every day (random numbers, usually silver but some gold), and if you do it daily for 5 days you'll get a bonus can of Ritzy Bits.
 
First off - now I am addicted...

second, I got the beach umbrella based on the items to get to get fish quickly, but I really don't like how it obscured the stuff on the porch and on the tree stump :(.
 
All the goodies are labelled L or S. The L (large) ones like the beach umbrella take up 2 slots, and only fit in certain places. You can have one large item out at time, or 2 if you have the yard expansion. The umbrella is a rather tall item though -- it might look like it's obscuring other items, but they're still there and still attracting kitties. (however it's harder to take pictures of them)

Yeah I'm not super fond of the umbrella either. I kept it long enough to help me get a decent amount of fish stockpiled and then ditched it for something lower.
 
I put out the vase and not one single kitty used it! (*sulks*)

ETA: Never mind, the vase is awesome! First Fred came and jammed himself in adorably. And now I have Guy Furry!

I finally actually put out sashimi and I got Kathmandu for the first time in 2 weeks. Hopefully I can get his memento soon. Besides being bored with the temari ball, no matter how many fish I get from it, it's not like I can just keep buying sashimi.

I have had Tubbs almost constantly since yesterday and it is extremely annoying.

Artemis, is took a little bit of time for the vase to be used for me too.
 
Yeah, I wish there was a way to block Tubbs. He seems to be getting a bit more generous with his gifts though -- in the last 4 visits he's left me 63 silver, 25 silver, 30 silver, and 7 gold. Still no memento from him though.

I think I had Kathmandu with temari + Ritzy bits. The only one I've noticed that the sashimi is really necessary for is Lady Meow-Meow.
 
Wow, the ping pong ball is adorable! Thanks for that tip! I feel like there are two kinds of super-cute: with and without animation. So far, ping pong is my favourite animation one.

Mr. Meowgi gave me his memento after about three visits, which was shocking but nice since the log isn't one of my favourites.

Not a fan of most of the large toys. I agree that they obscure too much, and it also feels like the cats give fewer fish. It probably works out mathematically since more cats use them, but I want cute!

Glad you liked the pingpong ball too -- it's definitely my favourite.

ITA about a lot of the large toys, but some of them are still pretty cute. The train, for example, is very cute, as are the tunnels. And the kotatsu. The kitties seem to give more fish with the kotatsu as well.
 
Oh yes, I'm definitely a fan of the train. I'll have to get the kotatsu next!

Right now I'm mainly annoyed by the cat metropolis, but Bob the Cat did visit almost immediately, so that was nice. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to put it away because there's always been a cat on it, and that would go against my policy of wanting all the fish. :)

The cat condo got me the expansion and I haven't used it since. :)
 
Yeah, I don't really want to get the cat metropolis, but I know it's the only way I'll get Bob to visit. If I put it inside, though, it won't obscure anything behind it. It just won't look as nice as the "bureau with pots" I've had in place there since I got the yard expansion.
 
Badams, I feel the same way since I opened this thread yesterday. I got sucked in.............
 
So there's a wiki for the game, why am I not surprised.

And according to the wiki's page about food, the different types last for different lengths of time -- Frisky Bits for 6 hours, and each of the more expensive ones for 3 hours. I'd never made that connection before, I thought it was just that certain cats ate (and depleted) certain foods without leaving a record of it -- other than Tubbs of course.

So unless you cheap out on Thrifty Bits (or sleep less than 6 hours), it means food will never last the night. I'm surprised the game doesn't have the kitties start meowing to wake you up to feed them ...

Or unless you wake up in the middle of the night and decide to check and see if your food has run out before going back to sleep. Not that I've ever done this of course. :shuffle:

I took my tablet upstairs last night- for the first time since I got it for Christmas, just so I could feed the kittys when I get up to pee.

I want that extension as soon as possible. No shame here.
 
^ You're exercising remarkable patience by waiting to collect enough gold fishies for the extension. I couldn't wait, I paid the $4. No shame here. :D

Meanwhile, Tubbs is camped out in my yard. I keep checking every 10 minutes so I can refill the bowl as soon as he leaves. What a pest he is. No other kitties in the outside yard while he's there -- but at least the inside is full.

I got the mementos for Lady Meow-Meow, Ramses and Ms. Fortune so I switched out their respective toys for the Cardboard Choo-Choo, the Earthenware Pot and the Cowboy Hat. I got Chairman Meow for the first time in 2 weeks and I got Conductor Whiskers within 2 hours of putting the train out. No sign of Billy the Cat yet though.
 
I've had all of the rare cats visit at least once now, except for Bob and Frosty. But only Xerses has left me a memento. Not even Tubbs, who's been 32 times according to my Catbook.

I got Tubbs memento after 5 visits. I was very surprised.
