I just started a thread in the Kiss & Cry. I didn't see yours. Thanks for posting. I will ask for mine to be deleted.

There are two teams from Australia competing.

Wishing all the teams competing all the best for a great competition. Should be fun.

Rhode Island's Ocean State Ice Theatre will compete in Norwood:

Ice dancer & TOI competitor TJ Carey took over the SC of Boston's Instagram stories today: https://www.instagram.com/skatingclubbos/

This is the biggest TOI event since Covid. Should be great fun for the teams and I hope we eventually get to see some of the programs.
I hope so too!

Looks like it's a small event. Only 6 adult teams this year compared to the 4 last year. The times do suck for someone working in Boston proper at a typical 9-5 so I can't go watch adult/novice CE. Tempted to go Saturday for junior/senior CE but it is $45 to get a one day ticket and park, which is more expensive than ice chips and you get less out of it.

ADULT GOLD CUP - Starting Order PDF for the Choreographic Exercise (underway): https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/nonqual_results/2023/32319/Starting order CE Adult.pdf

NATIONS' CUP Senior/Junior/Novice Choreographic Exercise Starting Orders are not yet linked from the event page: https://scboston.org/nationscup/

There is no official livestream this year :( but hopefully some "fan cam" videos may turn up eventually (ETA) in the meantime, SC of Boston's Instagram story is posting clips: https://www.instagram.com/skatingclubbos/

Going to volunteer tomorrow am and watch the competition. I can try to get snippets and can provide my thoughts when I'm back

Thank you. That would be great. Much appreciated.

I will ask the Australian teams if they are going to video and post somewhere publicly their own teams.

Yea I know some teams don't want to be shown on social media until they perform publicly once so snippets are fine but I'd rather not share an entire video? There is a company doing videos and I know the photographer so I can grab them from her (she gets permission to post them)

I really would have like to see it live... last time in Epinal the live feed was on :-/
Really interested to see what the other teams would have done with the choregraphic exercice requirements.

Only 6 adult teams this year compared to the 4 last year.

Yes, in the adult category there were 5 teams ranked in France last year, but only top 2 survived / were ready to go to Boston. Team #4 still exist, but the other 2 teams faced the lack of available ice in Paris with several rinks definitely closed : Team #3 has disappeared along its rink, and Team #5 (mine, sigh...) did not have a seducing enough practice time to attract new members.

Was a lot of fun and happy to have experienced my first TOI comp as well as be involved with the behind the scenes. There was one team in Juniors that did a holocaust program that I did not like, and I feel like some of the free ballet programs were hard to grasp?

Villard not being first is a revolution ! It's the first competition they don't win !
