Can we hope for him to do it at worlds?

I believe I saw that he will be touring in Japan prior to SOI
That's in early April:

He hasn't announced anything about March yet! :D

I think I know what's behind that big grin..... But can you imagine skating on a public session with the Olympic Champion? That blows my mind, and I can't skate.

Phil Hersh's article was recently updated with what I believe are new quotes from Scott Hamilton and Hayes Jenkens.
“I believe no one will be able to replicate what Nathan has done and can do,” Hamilton said. “He is a one-of-a-kind talent that I’m grateful has come into our world in my lifetime.

“Nathan is cut from the same cloth as Dick Button (the 1948 and 1952 gold medalist.) Not being satisfied with the status quo, Nathan did everything possible (and impossible) to build his athleticism in a way no one else previously had.”

Jenkins, who competed against Button, expected how well Chen skated at the Olympics because he has seen Chen skate that way repeatedly before.

“First, he has done the finest athletic performances by a man I ever have seen,” Jenkins said. “Second, they were coupled with very significant artistic performances. Look at his arms, his hands, his carriage. It is all very fluid, not exaggerated, and everything has a purpose.

“And, third he was very aware of the music, which we know not all skaters are.”

It's so cool to see him in that setting.

Off topic from Nathan, but I skated in a club session with John Curry circa 1974 (so couple of years before being Olympic champion), and it was breathtaking - not only watching his artistry, but his jumps went from one end of the rink to the other. I was on the boards like this 🤩 the whole time.

That was most likely a freestyle session at the rink. :) Not a public that's open to the entire community, but a session for skaters who have passed all the Basic levels in group lessons and are doing jumps and spins. Presumably, the elite skaters at that rink have their own sessions, reserved for their coaches and restricted to only the highest levels. I guess Nathan missed those sessions earlier in the day and decided to make the best of the open FS. Looked like he was doing a good job (elite skaters are good at dodging) navigating the crowd. :)

Cross-posted from the U.S. men's thread -- sounds like Nathan's thinking about Worlds after all! https://twitter.com/figuresk8ingdad/status/1498037086095503365?t=LqPyc1j48q_czP17NCFQwQ&s=19
I haven't actually heard anyone ask Nathan specifically if he is going to Worlds. I have almost wondered if someone behind the scenes (like and agent) has said "don't ask him that". Probably not, as most of the interviews are with people who don't know enough about figure skating to ask. Still, this appearance comes closer than anything I have seen.

Guess we will find out tomorrow - when the entries are submitted.

Sounds like the question was directly from the moderator and not from an audience member so it does give me hope that he plans to attend Worlds. We'll see.

Photos from the event
His fan Levi was also in attendance

Well, I wouldn't expect the entries that are published tomorrow or Tuesday (they're due tomorrow so the ISU might not publish until 3/1) to differ from the entries on the USFA's Int'l Assignments page initially. My guess is Nathan probably won't confirm anything privately with the USFS until the end of next week at the earliest.

I think at the end when he talking about Nathan celebrating he says but you probably can’t because you are training because you have a competition in a month. Hope I heard that right and he is referring to worlds.

I could see the USFSA persuading him (hopefully nicely) to skate worlds, since what are the US chances of retaining 3 spots otherwise? Probably not so good.

After his return to the US Nathan was interviewed for the Anaheim Ducks. They do appear to think he's headed to Worlds.
Chen now sets his sights on capturing his fourth world championship next month in France.
Fun video recap of the panel discussion

Nathan visited with the Players’ Tribune when in NYC/Rockefeller Center - Twitter thread (3 tweets): https://twitter.com/playerstribune/status/1498667533959892997

Also posted on their IG account (5 photos): https://www.instagram.com/p/CakJmDELu6O/
Comparing his handwriting here to that from 2018 is interesting, both in style and content.
