It shows dates for worlds as 3/21-3/27.

I assume 3/27 will be exhibitions.

What is the date of the first SP? From past experience it starts on Wednesday, so May be 3/24 will be the day the competition begins?

I assume 3/21-3/22 will be for skating order and practices?

I have the Courtyard Montpellier booked... it's close to the arena, but doesn't seem like the best location for city center?

I booked in Montpellier proper because there is an easy train from Gare du St Roch to Parc Expo, then a ten minute walk. I thought it would be more enjoyable to stay in the city (I'm at Royal Hotel).

One suggestion. If you had all your shots in the same state most, if not all, states have a vaccination registry. It’s run by your department of public health on the state level and you can pull request a vaccination history from there which was so everything in one location

I'm excited though - got my hotel in Montpellier and now one for a few days beforehand in Paris! I was having a hard time booking individual tickets online as I tend to do instead of a package, so I am wondering if I should just wait til I am THERE and can get tickets at the office? I do this a lot but it's only been for events in the US.

I plan on waiting until early March since we plan on going as a family in June/July, and I read the booster shot is only valid for 4 months for the vaccine pass come February 15th? Crazy stuff. I was going to get it done next month but with the new rules and shifting rules I decided it's best I wait til March to make sure it is valid for both trips.

I can pay for my vaccine pass with my passport and CDC card as proof at CDG, right? It seems like I can just get it done at the airport. (I don't know if I need a test when I get there? I know I need one before I go! I can't imagine them ever relaxing these crazy rules.)

I also want to know if I can purchase my tickets at the arena as I usually do in the US or should I just bite the bullet and pay big bucks for a week pass with good seats. The system kept wanting to seat me behind a pillar?

France has not established an expiration date for boosters. If you're boosted, you can get a French green pass. That could change, but I haven't read any speculation that it's like to happen soon, and I wouldn't hold off on getting a booster for months in anticipation that it might.

Italy is set to impose a six-month validity period for boosters soon--I think on February 1. There is much angst about that among those hoping to travel to Italy. However, that six-month cut-off has the potential to be a problem for Italians, too; tourists aren't the only folks who want to go to restaurants, cafes and the like. There are now rumblings that Italy is likely not to leave the six-month limit in place for very long. It may well remove the limit and wait for EU guidance on second boosters.

I believe Austria has a 9-month limit for booster-based COVID passes, but it previously had a strict time limit on the basic vaccinations. Austria has a history of setting a strict limit and then loosening it once or twice, so the 9-month booster limit may end up being extended before it affects anyone.

No the booster shot is not valid for only four months. The four months has to do with the timing of how long it's been since your first two shots. If it's been more than 4 months as of mid February you need a booster.

Just in case you got this info from my earlier incorrect post (which I edited to add that it was false), I feel the need to correct that this is not the case! At least not so far. In France there's currently no expiration date for the 3rd shot so you can take it whenever. Let's hope there won't be any sudden changes either.

It seems that Omicron is peaking and the case numbers are starting to decline.

Per the CDC chart (google cdc cov!d vaccine schedule) a J&J person should get a Pfizer or Moderna booster as long as it has been two months since your primary vaccination. So get it at your earliest convenience. Pfizer may be a better choice for travel as it’s approved in more countries.

Some folks have recently received cancellation notices from Air France for April flights to Paris. The notifications included this explanation: “Given the health situation caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, your flight has unfortunately been cancelled and rerouting options are currently limited. If your trip includes an onward or connecting flight, your whole trip has been cancelled."

Sometimes airlines are not as speedy as they should be in sending out such notifications. If there's a problem, the sooner you know, the more options you'll have.

No, no PCR test to get into the rink for the public, the "pass sanitaire" showing your vaccines is enough. Daily PCR tests are for officials, skaters, coaches, and media people. (Maybe for volunteers too, I don't remember)

tbh - it will be NEVER again will we be allowed to see bare faces indoors in certain places of the world.

I'm flying Delta and no news about any changes to my flight or cancellations. Considered booking an AF flight to try it out so I'm glad I didn't.

I’d recommend checking your flights weekly regardless of who you fly.

Flight schedules are very subject to change and the airlines notify people in affected order. I’d rather be proactive and get a better choice of rebooking options.

Airlines are being very generous still with their refund policies. I used my eCredits I've had sitting around for almost two years for this trip.

I did get a funny notification about my flight changing. It arrives five minutes early. I am a bit peeved I leave at 11:59pm though.

Is it required to wear an actual FFP2 mask or are KF94s, KN95s acceptable substitutes? Been thinking it’s a good idea to travel with a small supply of FFPs just in case and buy more once in France, if necessary.

KN95 masks were acceptable replacements for the European airlines, based on my recent flights.

Air France has only required surgical masks the few times I have flown with them over the last year or so.

I have still not gotten my tickets. I wanted to purchase individually since I'm planning on getting in late 23rd or early 24th, depending on things and not sure which events I'd be at those days, ughhhh. So booking this way is a nightmare.

I had to change my flights around because I booked my home airport to a hub separately to save money (to the tune of like $3000!), and they kept changing schedules and screwing me over. So now I am flying into London far cheaper and I'll just take the damn Eurostar for my few days in Paris.

I've read the rules are changing in France: no masks in most places now and no tests needed?
