ABC reporting that the coach is in the weakest condition as he made sure the kids ate what little food they had and had taken only small sips of the available good water.

It seems the 12th boy has been rescued which leaves the coach and support team left to be taken out.

Looks like the last of the rescuers are safely out as well! Well done to all involved in the rescue, and all the best to the boys and their coach as they recover :)

Fabulous news. I was just waiting to hear regarding the rescuers before commenting. Here's hoping the boys and their coach have as much support as they need as they recover from this ordeal. And let's not forget the brave diver who lost his life. At least this means he did not die in vain.

The Washington Post has an excellent summary article on its website. It contains a few factoids I hadn't heard before. (I've been following the story in bbc.com.) I'm traveling with a tablet and unable to provide a link, but the article should show up if you Google:

A sad postscript to this story:

Thai navy Seal dies of infection from cave rescue

A Thai navy Seal has died from a blood infection he caught while rescuing 12 boys and their football coach from a flooded cave in northern Thailand.

Petty Officer Beiret Bureerak died while receiving treatment for the illness, the Royal Thai Navy said. Another rescuer, navy diver Lieutenant Commander Saman Kuman, died during the mission.

:(
