U.S. Figure Skating's Family Support Fund: https://ssecure.qgiv.com/for/usfigureskatingfoundation/event/usfigureskatingfund/

About This Fund
On January 29, 2025, our U.S. Figure Skating family suffered an unimaginable loss when several members of our community—athletes, coaches, and family members—perished aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, which tragically collided with a helicopter in Washington, D.C. These individuals were returning home from the National Development Camp in Wichita, Kansas, a place where young skaters take their next steps toward their dreams.

We are devastated by this loss and are holding the victims’ loved ones closely in our hearts. In response, we have established the U.S. Figure Skating Family Support Fund to provide support to those U.S. Figure Skating families directly impacted by the tragedy.

Global Impact, an intermediary organization, is serving as the administrator of this fund.

===

On January 29, 2025, many people were killed after a helicopter collided with a passenger plane in Washington, DC. The GoFundMe community is coming together to support those affected. Donate to verified fundraisers today to help the people and families affected. Our Trust & Safety team will continue to update this page with more fundraisers as they are verified.

I love this event so much. I wish I could attend but i don't live close enough and actually have an event already scheduled on that day. I agree that I would gladly pay for a stream or another way to watch it since its for such a wonderful cause. I hope they consider that for those of us not in the area but who would still like to support the show somehow. I hope a bunch of FSU folks are able to attend! ❤️

I don't think I could get there. But where is that arena?
Look at the first post in this thread. Under Event Details, you can see the address for the arena in Washington DC.

I found this on Olympics.com.

"Those whom we lost dedicated their lives to perfecting the sport of figure skating, many with the goal of one day becoming Olympians," Samuel Auxier, interim CEO of U.S. Figure Skating, wrote in a statement. "We will never forget them. May their passion and excellence inspire us and give us strength in the days ahead. For now, our hearts are heavy with sorrow, and we stand with their families and friends as we grieve this unspeakable loss."

MANY figure skating clubs, ice rinks and other organizations will be holding local tribute shows and related fundraisers in the weeks and months ahead, and I hope this thread also can and will be used to share info for fans who might be interested in attending something in their respective areas IF they feel like showing their support in person.

Some fundraisers are still in the planning stages and I will try to compile/post links to the ones that have been made public, such as these 2 in Cleveland, Ohio and Washington state:

Chef Brandon Chrostowski is organizing a benefit dinner [tomorrow] on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. at EDWINS Too in Cleveland's Shaker Square:
"Having a daughter who figure skates in NE Ohio and Canada I was shaken by the news of the plane crash," Chrostowski wrote in a release. "I can’t imagine losing anyone who is part of the skating family, coach, parent or volunteer let alone our daughter. This has impacted the U.S. Figure Skating community across the country."
The chef, who has grown to appreciate figure skating through his 7-year-old daughter, said he wanted to help the U.S. skating clubs of the victims and their families.
"The culture of figure skaters, man, is just a way of life. And to have that ripped away, I couldn't imagine that being ripped away from my daughter in any way, shape, or form," Chrostowski told 3News in a later interview. About the fundraiser, he stated, "It’s not really about the food and wine, right? It’s about raising funds and raising awareness and find(ing) a way to get involved in this time when it hurts."
The benefit dinner will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. at EDWINS Too in Cleveland's Shaker Square. The cost of the event is $75, which includes a three-course meal and wine. Click here to reserve your seat or make a contribution: https://edwinsrestaurant.org/product/skating/
"This evening will be dedicated to honoring the lives lost and supporting those affected. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the victims home skating clubs and families of those affected," Chrostowski added. "We look forward to coming together in solidarity and support."
Former U.S. figure skater Tonia Kwiatkowski emphasized the importance of supporting one another in times of grief.
"If they want to talk, let them talk and et them grieve," Kwiatkowski said. "It was a horrible, tragic event that skaters from our country were involved in, and it's sad. It's very sad."
Chrostowski said he hoped to raise between $10,000 and $20,000 through the fundraiser.
"The Bellingham (WA) Figure Skating Club will be sponsoring a public ice fundraiser for the families of victims killed in the tragic Flight 5342 air collision in Washington, D.C.
The event is scheduled from 3-4:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 at the Bellingham Sportsplex."

Please feel free to share any similar links you come across and I can organize them by date and location for easier reference. Thank you. :) (ETA: Or you can send me a direct message via private "conversation" if you prefer)

Spencer Lane, 16 (2025 Eastern Sectional Intermediate Men's gold medalist representing the Skating Club of Boston)
Christine Conrad Lane (Spencer’s mother)
They are survived by Spencer's father, Douglas, and his 6-year-old brother (both boys were adopted from South Korea).

GoFundMe: "Support for the family of Christine & Spencer Lane"

Excerpts from what organizers wrote:

"... We are a group of adoptive families scattered throughout the U.S. and Canada who met Christine so many years ago when our tight knit community supported each other through the very long and difficult adoption process. ... We helped welcome Spencer and his brother Milo into the Lane family and watched them grow up. We were so excited to cheer Spencer on through his many endeavors, most recently and notably, figure skating. ...

Every donation made will go directly to Doug and Milo to support with any needs that arise as they navigate through this devastating loss. ..."

GFM centralized page now includes this page for the Lanes; centralized page also has been updated with almost all of the Flight 5342 pages for skating families.

My PC says: "On sale date and time are in the works - please check back!" or "Sorry, tickets are not currently available online."

But you can buy tickets with cell phone.
