Lake Placid Adult Skating Program

I keep looking at and thinking about the June 21-24 Adult Skating Weekend that Lake Placid Skating (http://www.lakeplacidskating.com/programs/adult.php) offers and was curious if anyone here has any experience with the program. I'm mostly curious about whether the attendance allows for individual training, the median skill level, and expectations I should either have or leave at the door.

It's a definite investment of both time and money, but I decided that I wanna give Adult Sectionals a go next year and love the idea of an immersive skating experience as an addition to my usual lessons.

Thanks lots in advance to anyone who can help me out!

I don’t know how to link it, but there’s a (member only) Facebook group called US Competitive Adult Figure Skaters. I know you’d get good answers there. That’s generally where I go for info on adult skating.

Oh, awesome--thank you so much! Just submitted my join request. :)

Lots of good info about this specific camp here:

It looks like a lot of fun but unfortunately the timing never quite works out for me (even though it falls during a time when our rink is closed). Paul Wylie always does a clinic in my area each summer* so it's hard to justify going out of town a month later.

* Not to hijack the thread, but Paul's clinic is coming to PSC&HS 7/20-21; I don't think registration is open to the public just yet. I'll post in a new thread about it when I get more details!

If you are in or near Colorado, 7K is now holding monthly adult mini camps. I saw a bit of the last monthly session, and it looked like most of the participants were at least able to spin and do single jumps. I understand that at the one held in January, the range of participants was broader and there was a section for less advanced skaters. Here’s info on the May camp:
