The issue for me is the use of the title. Sure, it was given to her fair and square, but given that she's made it clear she's not interested in being part of the firm (maybe the family, but not what it stands for and the work it does), then what's with the title?

All non-senior royals have given up all of their titles?

It is, but if that's who she's appealing to, IMO it would be more effective to do that without the "Duchess of Sussex" title.

Personally, given the number of people wondering if she's still a US citizen, I think she would be way more effective in encouraging voting with a message like, "I'm Meghan Markle, and although I married a member of the British royal family, I am still a US citizen and a US resident, and am proud to be able to vote in the upcoming Presidential election. Having the right to vote is very important to me and here's why..."

That's article indicates 6 feet without masks and has several other criteria - including being indoors and length of time - trust me I'm aware of all that as it has severely impacted my ability to earn money. The little kids probably were running around a lot and not spending a long time in the presence of the Harry and Meghan and they were outside with masks on. And as you well know they don't want to be in one of my countries - preferring to be in the other

I'm not sure who this comment is directed at - certainly most posters here would agree that Trump sucks and that people should wear masks. So who is supposed to give you a break, exactly?

The rules and recommendations on masks and distancing differ between countries and even within countries, and have changed over time, which might explain the inconsistency on this from the BRF.

Personally I see nothing objectionable about a short outdoor event with masks on. It's pretty low risk, and in the service of a good cause.

Meghan and Harry's latest appearance seems perfectly reasonable to me. Expecting masks + outdoors + distancing is going overboard. That's true regardless of whether it's Kate hanging out with kids or Meghan and Harry.

Interesting development - and talk about spreading a wide net of what they want to cover - it sort of appears like they are throwing lots of ideas forwards and seeing what will stick - they need to be careful and not saturate the market with their main resource - their name. Where - however - does this leave their charitable foundation they were going to develop - named after Archie (originally the SussexRoyal Foundation)?!

They could do really amazing if they choose their topics carefully and speak to what they know and things that have a somewhat broad appeal. Kate devotes time, interest and helpful words to preschool parenting and issues young moms deal with. She obviously has a different set up than any other mom but she has seemed to be able to bridge that gap and talk about the common concerns they all face. Perhaps she has touched on the environment - but it was with a lovely park she helped design for children to play and much harder to find fault with. When Melania speaks on antibullying - I think that is her message - it just doesn't work because her husband is the ultimate bully. Invictus - things to support military and their families seems a good fit for Harry.

And to make it worse, she defends him and says he's not a bully. So she has no credibility at all.

From what I've read, all of the programs will be ghost written and ghost produced and it's more of an endorsement from Harry and Meghan. So I think it will be a case of Netflix pulling something out of their vault of scripts/ideas/pitches they have and finding something that matches the branding or can be adapted to match the branding.

The idea of utilising sponsorships to market TV shows - much like what happens with sports shoe brands etc etc is a really interesting thing. But probably a sign of the future given how competitive the online streaming services are. It's actually really clever because marquee shows of original content like Stranger Things, The Crown, The Boys, House of Cards etc are really difficult, labour intensive and extremely expensive ($1m an episode in some cases) to make. Whereas with a sponsorship, you can create huge buzz, media attention and likely a dash of controversy out of some fairly standard, cheap to make documentaries that would otherwise be niche viewing.

But man, I reckon if you would have told me a few years ago that Harry would have made himself so famous and controversial in show biz that Netflix wanted to sponsor him, I'd never have believed you. After all, Harry apparently wanted The Crown show on Netflix to be stopped.

Some news program indicated they are moving to the Santa Barbara "area" which almost certainly means Montecito, where "the elite meet".

Also, it is a non-Hollywood haven for Hollywood people who want to be away from Hollywood, per se but close enough to Tinsel Town that an hour or so drive (depending on traffic) gets them back to the studio.

So, if they move there, she will have more than enough opportunity to interact with people in The Industry.
