They were having a lot of fun with this performance, and I thought they did well with the music.

Looking for better skating quality, and sharpness in the required pattern steps. The program's kind of generic, and though it's using 90's music doesn't have anything that would differentiate from a Latin program.

I think there's an interesting concept to the program, but I don't think the costumes are helping. Maybe they're a work in progress.

Fun program, and a good performance level, but the twizzle error will cost them a few points.

Strong performers, and very solid on all the elements. Levels on the step sequences may be a bit of disappointment.

That was very fun performance, and they were both clearly living in this program. The skating was nice, and sharp, and I look forward to seeing them again.

Mom and I both enjoyed Tscharner & Wiederkehr's program. Enough of an original look & concept to stand out from the crowd, and a cool lift to go with it.

I've liked Mouaden & Bigot since the first time I saw them. Happy for them after the RD.

Deych/Hu

Four Seasons, nice stationary lift, a little bit slower than I've seen in the past, got through twizzles okay, good choreo slide creating a moment, smooth and matching body movement. Good redemption skate

ETA: commentators point out they may have touched during one foot steps. Spacing is something to continue to work on

Lahti/Liedenpojha

complicated lift positions, she gets level 3 on midline, dance spin felt long, nice twizzles, skating fairly close together for a brand new team, nice to see Finland developing their dance program

Tscharner/Wiederkehr

Intriguing dance costumes--Japanese theme?, nice twizzles, they are getting some nice deep edges in one foot steps (maybe not exactly at the moment they are changing edges on a turn but once they are in the step) cool curve lift into rotational lift, I find this team quite compelling and watchable. Good job

Sorry but Ashlee should have stayed with Atl. He doesn’t look like a dancer to me, not to mention if you’re going for Fred Astaire you better know what you’re doing.

Top Hat for Slatter/Gregory. Ashlie's pink and yellow dress is adorable (but would have gone better with her original hair color!). Very different from the kind of programs she used to do with Atl, but this is probably an effort to help them find their own identity. Cute program, though it could have used the tap sounds in the music better. Hope they can develop it well.

I believe it was Atl who left -- at least if skating gossip can be trusted!

Bielodonova/Kachur

nice twizzles, acrobatic entry to straight line lift, nice matching leg line, get the impression that he is tugging her where she needs to be instead of her generating her own momentum in places, got a little messy and out of sync toward the end, she's expressive and they look well matched

Last ice resurfacing underway between groups 2 & 3.

Straub/Straub

Nice musicality through the one foot turns, nice twizzles, I don't see a lot of matching movement from them--not that they aren't in unison--but that their choreography doesn't require it as they are frequently doing different things, handstand assist in choreo steps

Koch/Chataignoux

nice twizzles, some good tension through the diagonal step sequence. I am impressed at how in sync they are, particularly for being a new pairing, drama head shakes from him through choreo steps. Like most new teams, they'll want to add speed as they become more comfortable together
