Did Ashlie fall? I can only watch with half an eye, but I saw what looked like her getting up.

Not sure. I was too busy responding to an obstinate jerk in a certain GSD thread for the first part of their program. Mark is saying yes on the post-skate commentary.

I’m fully convinced I don’t understand this program  she falls on one foot turns, transition from curve lift to rotational lift can be smoothed out, felt like they lost energy, perhaps need to work on precision of hand and foot placements in lifts so that they look more secure

VeiBran - You know, just listening to this music and knowing they're at IAM-Ontario, I'm convinced, without looking at their bio, that Adrian Diaz must have selected this music for them, lol. They're pleasant enough, but I think Canadian ice dance is in trouble because none of the teams they've sent out on the JGP are doing that great this year.

Good ice coverage on twizzles, good effort at handling comedic choreography, excellent basics and posture, enjoyable—maybe needs a little more connection between each other

Is anyone else getting a Daniel Mrazek vibe from Alexander Brandys? Maybe it's the haircut or I have watched too much Ice Dance today.

They've got some time to improve, though. Laj/Lag will hold down the fort in seniors for some time, Les Gacs are also doing well, and Fabbri/Ayer for whatever reason are getting boosted up the ranks. (Not that I don't like them; they just seem to have suddenly become the beneficiaries of the IAM "Your turn to get a boost!" M.O.) Bash/Beau may be stalling a bit but still have lots of promise. The juniors have a little room to get their act together.

My sound's still down. Am I missing anything interesting from Madi and Evan?

Actually, I had a theory come to me late last night/early this morning about the mysterious FabAyer boost we're seeing happen right before our eyes.

Les Gacs haven't competed at any Challengers this season - I know they skated at LPIDI but it's strange they haven't been assigned to any Challengers ahead of SkAm. LajLag are, unfortunately, proving to be injury-prone. FabAyer are next in line at IAM for the Canadian support/boost, and they're getting it because the field ahead of them suddenly seems to be fairly open beyond GilPoir. Yes, on paper, LajLag and Les Gacs are miles ahead of FabAyer, but... Paper isn't producing actual results.

Awwwwww... Evan is being so sweet about Ashlie's fall and talking about how his heart broke for her because they met them 5 years ago and have been following their career since.

ZehnSieb - oh, that's right, the Edward Scissorhands program. I can say, with 100% certainty, both of their programs are much better when you can hear the music properly.

Wow rotational lift! Close on twizzles, they create such innovative concepts, great facial expressions, hope they can add more of the skating skills to get their step levels up to have the full package

Evan already commented during the warm-up about how impressed he was with Bordet/Chardain and how fast and well they're gelling with only two competitions under their belts. I have a feeling that all of the teams in this final group are going to be over-the-moon with compliments from the reigning World Champs.

I still hate the emo-disaster movie "Toxic" cover they're using, but they're really emoting it very well and it's an enjoyable program.

Bordet/Chardain

Deep edges through one foot steps, ponytailography during otherwise straightforward choreo slide, nice speed and security in skate, twizzles were on the slower side, impressive skate

France sure has a strong group of Junior skaters

Both Mullens looking a little hesitant on their twizzles today, but everything else is so smooth and flowy and lovely. The program builds really well.

Mullens - much freer and looser today than yesterday. That was sublime. I am going to be so bummed if they don't make the GPF and being in 3rd, they've got a hill to climb to get there.

Great unison on opening steps, smooth and flowing, slowish twizzles, they gave some dramatic, performed-with-abandon vibe at the end, good job
