Saw the replay of Sophie Joline’s SP to Sweet Dreams. Super jumps and moved well in modern steps but still without the finesse of Pezzetta or the Japanese and Koreans here. It will come.

Agreed. She spent a lot of time looking down at the ice rather than engaging with the audience. That will come with time, for sure, and regardless of the outcome this weekend, this is a great experience for her and, hopefully, will set her up nicely for next season on the JGP (she's not senior-eligible until the 2026-27 season).

I’m enjoying the FP music of all of these early skaters. Most are symphonic and orchestral, such as the current skater, Soloukhin, from The Netherlands (or Savic from Serbia). Nobody since I’ve been watching has used current pop singers like Eilish, Thank Goodness. I’m fine with full orchestral music; it doesn’t have to be classical. And now I hear a current female vocalist with the Greek Lamprinou (eek)! Just for me!!!

I disagree about Goidina: I think her basic skating is muscled and choppy, and her lines weak. Watching Karhunen’s glide and flow right afterwards was an eyeball cleanser.
