AFAIK, you can’t go back a level with same partner and they’ve already competed senior together.
That's what I remember as well. I just wasn't sure if there would be any exceptions given the age rule change now that some teams who weren't junior-eligible last year are this year.

The international age rules don’t apply to US Nationals.
No, international age rules do not apply to US Nats, however, as a couple of others have noted, once you compete at a higher level at US Nats, you can't drop back down to a lower level unless it's a situation where you have a new partner who has not tested up to your level - which is why Jeffrey Chen could compete Jrs last year with Yahli Pedersen, and it's why Wolfkostin/Tsarevski have to compete Srs because, as a team, they've only competed Srs at Nats.

Right, so the international age rules changes don't change anything about USFS' rules about who can compete at what level at US Nationals.
