The flower girl sitting in the K&C with Sosina after giving her the plushies is absolutely sending me. I'm sure it's because they're friends/sisters/something, but it's so funny to think she just wanted to grab the spotlight, and everyone was too polite to tell her to leave.

Interesting that Stavickyte was born in Canada, though it looks like she lives and trains in Lithuania now. Wonder what's her story?

Joos had a very nice, elegant FS. Seems like Switzerland is exporting a disproportionate number of skaters, but then, their field is fairly crowded, especially for a small country.

Frank

unusual black and grey dress, 3z-2a, 3f-2t, cover of "Zombie" so is this an anti-terrorism program? fall on 3f and 3s. Think she could have used the original music, a little wobbly in her choreo sequence, different, good, very nice donut spin

Zhang

purple and gold dress, It's warhorse time! "Turnadot" opens with 3f, 3t that covered a lot of ice, 3s fall, 3z-2t, this program feels pretty empty to me, nice edge change on camel spin, 3f-2a-2a, popped lutz, good basic skating, hard to really create a moment/distinct impression with such overused music

Smith

another grey dress, 3f-3t with loose leg position in air, falls on 3z, better on solo 3f, making some oblique angles in the spins, but not sure they're deliberate, she's got a lot of content--now just needs to smooth it out and polish, tighten up the rotations. Time's Up and ends over by the judges' panel. Very young so lots of time to grow and improve

Kim

comeback time? 3a, already this program looks like a better fit for her than SP, 3f-3t turns out, turns out again from 3s, not really over her feet technically, got through combos better in second half 3s-2t, 3r-2a-2a, she certainly hasn't given up, but can't imagine this is how she expected her first JGP of season to go, nice spread eagle to "My Heart Will Go On"

Gerke

black with sparkly multi-color flowers, staccato is a good look for her, nice glide out of 3z opening jump, 3f, pops a 2f, would like to see more commitment to the choreography--it's there but she could add more feeling, 3r-1r-3s done with grit, 3t-3t late in program, really nice skate

Shao

white sparkly dress to "Ave Maria" edgework into 3r, 3z, carrying nice speed across the ice, 3f, solo triples look solid, then I got interrupted—how was the second half?

Dibbern

Very sparkly handmaiden, 1a leaning way outside the circle, 3z-3t with no flow out, nice Charlotte-esque move, 3z-2a-2a, going for a lot of difficult content mostly successfully, think she could work on facial expression and getting more flow out of her jumps

The flower girl sitting in the K&C with Sosina after giving her the plushies is absolutely sending me. I'm sure it's because they're friends/sisters/something, but it's so funny to think she just wanted to grab the spotlight, and everyone was too polite to tell her to leave.
I can’t watch the feed until later, but I think after the SP, it was Sosina who pulled her into the photo they take from the side.

Noticed not much teen ballads here. Many with classical music. Good by me. Are the music rules different for juniors?

Takagi

3z rotating too slowly and fell, 3r-2a-2a, popped flip, very hot and cold, music definitely requires more maturity than some of the other selections we’ve heard so far, but it looks like it would need to be clean to create a big impact, maybe the music resets a bit at the end, just not her day

Rough outing for Goidina too. She's fighting to get it back, but she may not be able to stay on the podium at this rate.

Goidina

3f high but fell, gripping with blade after landing 3r, she’s skating nervous, dramatic hands and arms, 3z fall, 3z-2a-2a, rough skate

Goidina into 2nd. She's so disappointed. :(

Very pretty and sparkly purple and white dress for Huh.
