Like everyone else, I'm so shocked and saddened by the passing of Twitch. So so talented, so nice - never heard a bad word said about him, lovely family - such a shame, such a loss. 😢

So many tributes to Twitch popping up on Facebook. But I think Benji Schwimmer (SYTYCD alum) said it best: "Tell your loved ones what they mean to you, today. You will be missed, friend."

Also, from Maksim Chmerkovskiy: "Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss was the only man I’ve met in the entire industry who was loved by absolutely everyone.
This makes no sense at all….
Rest easy my friend.
💔
"

And finally, from Ellen DeGeneres: "I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children - Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia."

So heartbreaking.

I think it just emphasizes how silent depression/suicide is. Look jovial, happy on the outside, while inside there is deep dark pain.
I had dinner with a friend tonight. She is constantly busy, constantly on the go—she believes it helps her fend off the depression. She worried that when Twitch slowed down the depression caught up to him. I don’t know if we will ever know.

A few days ago we lost Mike Leach the coach of the Mississippi State football team. Normally the school would mourn the coach but his death brought both sadness at his passing and appreciation for the man he was from football fans everywhere. Leach was famous for inventing the Air Raid Offense. But he was beloved because he was such a character. And he was funny. I watched a sideline reporter ask for advice for her wedding and he talked about that instead of the game. There was his famous "hate candycorn" sideline report and a serious discussion of which mascot in the Pac 12 would win in mascot brawls. He actually stood there and broke this down. There were many other Leach moments. He was 61. His nickname was the Pirate and he will be missed.

Well that is beautiful. He was loved by many in Kansas. And he will be missed. I kept the SI magazine with his cover story when Kansas won the Final Four in 2008. So good…

Elayne Jones was the "first" in many things. I was fortunate enough to have parents who took me to the San Francisco Symphony when she was part of it.

Arguably the greatest footballer to have ever lived. Love the story of him after Brazil’s 1950 loss at home, promising his dad to win the World Cup for him. Pele won three times 1958, 1962, and 1970. Gone but his Legend will live on forever! R.I.P.

Canadian music legend Ian Tyson has passed away at 89. He rose to fame with his wife Sylvia in the folk duo Ian & Sylvia. He wrote the songs Four Strong Winds (covered by too many artists to name) and Someday Soon (covered by Judy Collins and Suzy Bogguss, among others).

Ian & Sylvia released thirteen albums and had a hit with their cover of Gordon Lightfoot's "Early Morning Rain" and "You Were On My Mind".

As a solo artist, Tyson had over twenty songs chart on the Canadian country music charts and he had two gold and one platinum albums in Canada. A tribute album to Tyson entitled, "The Gift" was released in 2007 and includes covers of his songs by Jennifer Warnes, Gordon Lightfoot and Blue Rodeo.

Of course people remember her! Legendary fashion designer. :drama:
What a history! There should be a film one day about her and Malcolm McLaren and the rise of Punk. I know her life and designs extend beyond that period but what an interesting time and an interesting woman. RIP
