In Memoriam

While Nicks, who I had met a few weeks earlier in Paris, had spoken fantastically about fate and celestial beings and communicating with her late mother through her jewellery, McVie told me tales about mastering blues bass lines with her left hand and how she supposed she must be “good with hooks”. (“Oh, do you think so?” I had to hold myself back from replying to the woman who had written Say You Love Me, Over My Head, You Make Loving Fun, Songbird, Don’t Stop, Over and Over, Hold Me, Little Lies and Everywhere.)

Brad William Henke Dies: ‘Orange Is The New Black’, ‘Justified’ & ‘Dexter’ Actor Was 56

I didn't realize I had seen him in so many things. Scenes from the first two series listed above:

Justified - Mags Teaches Coover a Lesson

Orange Is the New Black - Taystee Confronts Piscatella Scene

I've also seen him in The Stand, Split, Pee-Wee's Big Holiday, Lost and North Country.
I remember him from an underrated show called "Going to California" close to twenty years ago. I liked him a lot in that. RIP

What I remember the most about Sorvino was the pride on his face when he was in the audience watching his daughter receive an Oscar. ( I think it was the Oscars)
It was the Oscars and I remember it too. The camera went to him while she thanked him and he broke down in sobs saying no,no.

I was 5 years old when Sesame Street started, and my little 5 year old heart had such a crush on him. RIP
I was 7, so a little too old for the counting and alphabet lessons, but I loved all the characters and their social interactions. I certainly learned more about treating people kindly than I did from being dragged to church.

I was 11. So it really wasn't aimed at me. But I loved it anyway! We had it on tv because (a) my mom also loved it and it was age-appropriate for my youngest sister.

This is exactly why I liked Fleetwood Mac so much as a young person. There weren't many rock bands at that time that had great women vocalists/musicians. They were relatable for me, in a way that male-dominated bands weren't always.

And they were both real musicians, not just pretty girls who were put up front because they could sort of sing.

Might possibly need her own thread:

Our hometown girl—she returned frequently and was a visible and unassuming presence here. She was good on screen and she was full of life off camera. As you can imagine this is very sad news in this city. I loved her chutzpah when she followed a beloved character on “Cheers” and managed to leave her own indelible mark. RIP

oh I'm so sad about tWitch. He was delightful, an amazing dancer, and even though I was rooting for Joshua that season, I thought tWitch should have won based on the finale (and overall BOW ;) ).

RIP :wuzrobbed

I am just stunned and devastated by this. Twitch was such a bright light. I’ve loved him since he was on SYTYCD.

OMG I can’t believe this! I loved him on SYTYCD and especially the performance with Alex Wong above. Condolences to his family.

So heartbroken about Twitch. What an incredibly talented dancer he was. My thoughts are with his wife Allison. Just devastating.

RIP tWitch:wuzrobbedThis news completely shocked me; he seemed like the nicest, happiest person in the world. His dance with Alex is one I go back to a lot -- love it so much. So sad for Allison and their kids. I hope they find comfort and peace.

I just heard on the radio that Twitch died. How sad. He was one of my favourites on SYTYCD.

I heard the news on the radio driving, and until they mentioned his wife by name, I kept saying "Please be a different Twitch... please be a different Twitch..."

What a shock. Such a talented and warm-seeming human being. You really never know how someone is doing, no matter how outwardly pleasant/uplifting they seem.

I loved not only his dancing but his spirit. This is the saddest celebrity passing for me in quite some time. I'm so sad for Allison and their kids. It's heartbreaking.
