In Memoriam

Actor Tom Wilkinson had died.

Another great gone. And he was prolific. He will be missed. Tomorrow CBS Sunday Morning will do their annual farewell and this year seemed particularly tough. The list is full this year.

While I definitely remember Tom Wilkinson from what the news reports say he is “most well known from The Full Monty”, many other roles, both major and minor, have stayed with me, especially his performance in “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.” He will be missed. May he Rest in Peace.

Hanna Eshel died back in September, but like so much else in her life, word is getting out late.

This article is a 🎁. I strongly urge people to read it before the link expires in two weeks.

Standing in the front sculpture gallery was the loft’s resident sculptor, painter, Zen garden custodian and leaseholder: Hanna Eshel. At 85, she was looking for someone to help pay the rent.

Mr. Luke agreed to move in on the spot.

He assumed, at first, that Ms. Eshel was a world-famous artist whom he had never heard of — an embarrassing thought, since Mr. Luke made a living partly as a consultant to art galleries for the online marketplace 1stdibs.

After leaving, he looked Ms. Eshel up. Nothing seemed to have been written about her. It was as if, outside the private world of the loft, she did not exist.

Just saw this on Cathy Reed's FB Page. Oleg has passed away. RIP

I was sorry to hear about Tom. I remember watching the Smothers Bros. every week with my family. I also loved the fact that both Tom and Dick was against racism of any kind.

RIP, Tom. You'll be missed.

Very interesting that the caption makes reference to the Kingston Trio, because that song is not one they were known for (unless you are an uber-fan and have all their albums). The album it was on, Stay Awhile from 1965, only made it to #126 on the charts, and was one of the last ones they made before they broke up two years later.
