It has been announced that Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto has passed away.

World-renowned Japanese musician and composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, also the keyboardist of the legendary electronic music band Yellow Magic Orchestra, known as YMO, died March 28, his office says. He was 71.

I absolutely love his music. I discovered it (and him) thanks to the movie "Merry Christams Dr Lawrence".
