Hanyu's "GIFT" on Disney+

Many thanks to @Desperado for the tip that Yuzuru Hanyu's Ice Story 2023 "GIFT" at the Tokyo Dome is available on Disney+. It is billed as "The first ever solo ice show at Tokyo Dome, "GIFT" is a story that self-portrays life and future on the ice." Just put GIFT in the search bar and it will pop up.

I was able to watch his GIFT at Tokyo Dome through Disney + and I was astounded at the work he put into the show, the production value, and how he was able to skate so well, so many programs. The re-enactment of his Olympic performance, starting with the warm-up was fascinating.

I especially enjoyed his more contemporary pieces like Ashura-chan.

He was shown as being very emotional, especially at the end and even sobbing backstage, probably brought on by exhaustion.

The show included an interview on the day after.

So glad I could see it.
