Trusova won the free skate and climbed from 12th to 3rd. B&K dropped from 1st in the SP to 5th in the LP. They were lucky to get the bronze.

On YouTube you can choose translation within closed captioning. I used it for a Tuk profile on Channel 1 and it was passable.

I may try the subtitles thing that @BittyBug suggested.There were a few excerpts (at least I think they were from this interview) covered on "that site" that I google translated, one with Nikita talking about how if you had told him two months ago that they would be world champions he would never have believed it, and one with Vika talking about how usually she gets nervous before the short but not the free but this time she was so nervous before the free that she felt like her heart was leaping out of her chest. She said Nikita helped her through it and then once they started skating she got over it and was soon skating for pleasure. I actually remember her talking about the nerves before the short thing from a previous interview.

A TV interview with Trusova. She loves math, plans to skate till she is 22 (aka 2 Olympics). She doesn't have any diet and eats whatever she wants, however, after a certain hour a day she eats only certain foods. Um.. think there was nothing else new/interesting, but she started speaking and expressing herself much better (in Russian)

They guys came to the interview right from the practice. Nikita says he doesn't have any tradition to buy himself presents/ nice gifts after competitions/victories; Vika adds that unlike Nikita she always treats herself with a present if a competition goes smoothly, this time she bought a nice coat.
Emotions a week after - Nikita says that for him the strongest moment was when they were waiting for the scores after the FD. Probably for the first time ever he felt so emotionally exhausted that he couldn't put his hands up. Vika was extremely nervous before the FD and that was the most memorable thing about this event. Nikita helped her to cope with this emotions and she got over it in the beginning of the program and skated through the second part with a great pleasure.
Vika once said that her dream is to stay on the top of the podium with a gold medal in her hands and to sing the anthem, so she was asked if her dream came true here - No, the main dream has not come true yet
Nikita says they were super ready for this event - all practices in last 3 week before the Worlds were great: at their home rink, in Novogorsk (adds that it was a great chance to train and to some extent compete with other Russian teams at this camp) and at the official practices. The latter is the most important, as all top teams in the world except P/C were there and S/K were able to show their best at all practices with the only exception - the last practice of the FD day. Probably because of that they both were so nervous, and as a lot of coaches usually say, it's harder to keep your position rather than to pursue and have nothing to lose. Both says that unlike singles, they can't just leave during the official practice and not skate their program. Judges are always watching and pay attention to edges, turns, steps in the step sequences and etc, as it's hard for them to look and check both partners during the actual competitions, so they do some notes in advance. So all in all they had 5 days of skating in front of the judges.
When did they feel that they can compete and chase after P/C
Nikita: Maybe if I was looking from the side and was not competing right now, I could have given you a different answer, but right now, when we are focusing on the most important season that lies ahead, the most important thing it to compete with ourselves. We don't look at them everyday and think that we need to beat them, no, we have to improve our own skating. A boring answer but it is as it is.
Vika: For me it was the 2018/19 season, when we felt for the first time that we can compete with P/C. After that season we understood that we are working in a right way and do the right thing.
Nikita says that he could be wrong, but he liked to think that they had the best tango RD that year. The whole team put lot's of efforts in that program and they liked it a lot.
When asked about their most significant program, both said Bach, 'Air'.
It gave them the air to breath after a hard season, when they couldn't show their great Rachmaninoff program in a way it was choreographed due to injuries.
That (2017/18) season was a moment of a complete disaster, but it also gave an opportunity to reborn and gain something new as well.
Nikita says his leg hurt a lot back then but they decided to compete. Vika had to skate for both of them almost literally. The things went surprisingly well and they skated clean and sharp in the beginning of the FD at Nationals but then they just couldn't end, it hurt that much. Vika says she really wanted for them to end the program no matter what and she was ready to do everything that was in her power.
About switching coaches and coming back to Zhulin
Nikita called him and Zhulin agreed to listen to him (background story - after I/K left Zhulin, they didn't talk and didn't have anything in common, only greeted each other at competitions). Zhulin didn't come for the first meeting, he sent Petr Durnev instead. They had a long talk with him and got a call from Zhulin few days after that, he came prepared for the next meeting and even proposed few ideas for the programs. Nikita says huge thanks to Bobrova/Soloviev and Tiff/Jon because all the guys met them with open arms and the atmosphere was great.
Vika was a bit shy and nervous because she has never worked with Zhulin and didn't know him at all.
Back to tango. Nikita says they would like to turn that program into a great exhibition (except for the swizzles, because who needs twizzles?). Also says that they enjoyed dancing it on the flour as well.
When they firstly came to Zueva and were two completely opposite people with different techniques, abilities, everything; she scheduled all dance classes for them, involved everyone she knew to work with them. Vika says they had new classes everyday, tried many disciplines and even back then they liked Argentine tango the most.

Both says that definitely no. They got to know each other, they gained a lot from that experience, they learnt how to work hard. It took very long to gel as a team, both agrees that they couldn't even think it would take that long in the very beginning. Nikita honestly adds that Lena and Ruslan achieved that it less time, while S/K needed at least three years. Vika knew she would need to work extremely hard, but also didn't expect that long period.

I didn't think about it all the time, but of course still had that thought somewhere deep in my head. But I totally let it go only when we returned to Zhulin: I fell, lost everything, didn't end that Rach program..

Somehow I don't think Nikita needs to be reminded that he is the "most talented ice dancer of the Generation". He doesn't seem to lack for the self confidence

There are two types of people: some are more talented and naturally gifted, and some need to work harder and do 50 repetitions of each move - Vika is among the latter. But as she says, she is sure that if she does something, she will succeed no matter how much time she will have to spend on it.
Vika says that she came to an understanding that she has 100% caught up Nikita by 2018/19 season. The interviewer later asked Nikita in a playful manner by when did Vika best him
When Zhulin suggested Air FD to them, they both found it too boring, but that was also a point - Zhulin wanted to tame them down.
Nikita jokes that he was often told by different coaches (both his coaches and other specialists) that he has to stop jumping through hoops, but it came only with age and experience. The key now is in 'steady and calm' approach, Nikita adds that now he totally understands that you can be confident in yourself only if you work hard and train a lot.
I lost the connection between questions and answers for a bit, but Nikita really loved that Rachmaninov FD they didn't have a chance to skate to its full potential.
About childhood and first steps on the ice, they both started skating in Moscow but did they cross each others paths before they team up or? No, they knew each other only by names and saw each other for the first time at Averbukh/Lobacheva school but Nikita was older and already skating with Lena.

Back to this season - started training at the maximum only 2 months ago, so they are only getting in their best shape now, missed that feeling and the ice. The season was very hard and not knowing what to expect was the most difficult part of it.

Yes, Nikita says he loved the first suit and he judges all the people who were against it. But they were asked to change it (by Russian Fed/judges I assume) few days before Euros, so he had to bought the turtleneck in the clothing store, they took few pics, sent it to Federation, everyone liked it, so he had to skate in it at Euros.spoiler alert: if I grasped it correctly, a discussion of the infamous lucky turtleneck is yet to come...

I would say around last season
Zhulin said once that he always wanted to skate an FD to Rachmaninoff's second piano concerto with Usova. This could have been a masterpiece. It's a real shame they couldn't develop that idea. I've even considered that they could use it for this Olympics but it could be risky since they already did it 4 years ago.
They have really established themselves as the best RD specialists in ice dance this quad. I really hope they take swing next season. They had a decent feel for it back in 2017, but they were very out of shape that season and had problems with levels. Their tango ballet FD that season was also very interesting but it was more of an impression that it could be great, because their skating was messy.
He is a shipper.
I really felt this. Without the audience, they really projected their emotions to each other. There was that lovely moment when they stop in front of the judges and look at each other. It felt really genuine from both. I feel like he's calmed down a lot, in his skating, and his personality, and she is just lovely.
