“There is ice on Moskvich, where we have already agreed on training. On Monday, tests passed, if the results are in order, let's start skating. It is clear that there will be some restrictions, but we are ready for them. They concern the number of people on ice, age, too. Only those athletes who are over 18 years old will be allowed to train, ”Zhulin told RT.

Wonder if Hurtado/Khaliavin could also start training or it’s only for Russian athletes..
I really feel sorry for Sara - she has been quarantining alone in her Moscow apartment since the middle of March when she came back from Madrid to Moscow and Russia just introduced obligatory 14-days quarantine for all coming from Europe/China :(

Also, here’s a longer version of Zhulin’s interview:
SinKats are keeping their Singing in the Rain RD, they want to try a new style for the FD since it’s a pre-Olympic season. He was worried that his athletes could get this **** - lunges are very important for athletes. Decided not to go to Novogorsk because it’s risky and also since you have to stay there for the whole month and not being able to go home - he didn’t want to agree to it since he has two small daughters.
Says that GP series will most likely be cancelled (his opinion).

I thought the part about how high-level athletes are more vulnerable to health issues was interesting. It makes me think of Liza last year and Kolyada's ongoing sinus issues. For me the natural assumption would have been the opposite, that since they are young and healthy, they wouldn't have to worry as much.

I really hope Sara gets to train! I have felt badly for her during this whole thing too.

I would think so otherwise it would just be S/K and K/D. Assuming N/N are still in Ukraine.

Article on World Junior Champions Apollinariia Panfilova/Dmitry Rylov at Golden Skate:

They talk about moving up to the senior level, about the challenges they had to overcome in the past season, about their training in **** times.

If the skate gods are kind, she'll get the triple jump and they are future champions. Everything else they do is sublime.

:) Petrova and Tikhonov have posted nice photos. The text says they are somewhere on the Dalyoki peninsula, near a finnish seawall. (or maybe they were there a few days ago)

According to the rumors on Russian boards, pair team Taisia Sobinina/Nikita Volodij split - she has a serious injury and will most likely retire.

I really hope that Volodin will be able to find a partner, always thought that he has potential
Volodin is so unlucky. Ustimkina got too tall, Atakhanova was constantly injured and he was patiently waiting, until she realised that she spent more time recovering than actually skating, Sobinina now got injured too... There are a number of female pair ladies searching for a partner, such as Kostiukovich (but she might be skating with Bushlanov if the try out was successful), Efimova, Osipova, Buzaeva, Vyslobokova... but none of them is a reliable jumper. I could imagine him with Efimova or Osipova, but he may want to find a partner from singles. It worked well for Balchenko, finding Kadyrova. Actually, Ksenia Chistiakova is available, and she has been single skater relatively recently so she has jumps.

An interview with Maxim Trankov from Novogorsk. He’s with Tarasova/Morozov there and posted a pic of ‘happy as kids’ (c) skaters on his Instagram today

Amazing how Trankov can't give a single interview without bashing Stolbova...

Apparently if they're not submissive enough or stroke his ego enough it's a problem for him. Or maybe she rebuffed him some time in his formative years and he can't seem to deal. Absolute head case.

Aren’t Trankov and Fedor Klimov good friends? I never thought that Stolbova/Klimov got on very well so maybe there is that. I just remember that famous stare when Klimov fell at Euros.

Yes. But that was ages ago. I have never seen a grown man come across so much like a petulant teenage girl.

Stolbova made it no secret that she resented Trankov's and Klimov's friendship when the two teams were competitors, that Feodor was not ambitious enough to want to "beat Trankov" and perfectly happy to be "second, next to his best friend". I would guess Trankov did not appreciate her attitude.

By the way, Trankov's and Klimov's nigh bar they jointly opened had to be closed down due to lack of clients and funding. Trankov's explanation is "We had to close it, we worked honestly (we did not cheat)".

Today (06-03-2020) was Daniil's Gleikhengauz's 29th Birthday.
Daniil - the toy carrier:

Japanese Airweave (dog-beds) commercial with Alina Zagitova and Masaru "How i get my dog ready for bed".
A must-see for dog lovers:

Masaru Zagitova - now has her own japanese merchandise site, shipping int'l:

I would like to see this dress, or similar, in a programme (Zagitova/Shiseido advert)

Exactly. Nothing more needs to be said.

They need to chat with Usain Bolt. He could teach a lesson on starting and maintaining a Restaurant chain.

:D to be exact with the song's words...
"My address is not a house or a street.
My address is Soviet Union"

Katrisha is correct to place info about Denis Ten Accd. in "russian section" because the principles of the venture are asking Tatiana Tarasova to come and be the principle coach.

Alina Zagitova's test for xxxxxx - negative.
She is cleared for training.

Skaters in Kislovodsk camp - cleared for training.

Gachinsky is planning to take his group to Sochi, said "in St. Pete we can not train, we're not even allowed to step out of our houses".

Mishin few days ago said that he is not allowed even inside his own rink "Jubileniy" and Tukhtamysheva said she is not yet training and not sure what the next step is (few days ago, nothing i found since then, maybe it changed).

Update on Mishin and group.
Mishin's group is not going to the training camp in Kislovodsk.

Mishin is 79 years old and is considered "high risk". His wife Tatiana Mishina will be 66 this June.

According to the Russian State Federal Biomedical Agency (ФМБА) people allowed to attend the training camps must be 65 or under.

While there are other, younger, non-senior coaches and choreographers who can take the top skater to the camp, Mishin decided to wait until his own rink "Jubileiny" will be officially opened starting June 8th-10th.

I always got the impression that the conflict between Trankov and Stolbova had nothing to do with Klimov or Stolbova/Klimov’s relationship. I think Max said that he and Ksenia clashed because they both had explosive, competitive personalities.

He just does not like assertive or independent women. He has the same issues with Savchenko and she pretty much shut him up with Olympic gold. He just has to respect her.

Alexei Mishin and his group decided not to risk and stay in St Petersburg instead of going to Kislovodsk. Apparently, coaches over 65 are not allowed at the camps, so both he (79) and his wife, Tatiana Mishina (66) would have to stay in St Petersburg anyway.
Also, it’s mentioned in the article that St Petersburg government is looking for some ways to organize ice and practices for athletes - either Yubileiny rink will open next week, either they will organize a small camp in Igora (resort outside of the city with ice rink, hotel rooms, training facilities and swimming pools).

Liza Tuktamysheva posted that Mishin approved their work with Yury Smekalov on her new LP and she can’t wait to start doing this choreo on the ice
An interview with Liza “Not going to Sochi helped me to build a career”

Q: What is going on in your region - Perm? Do you want to help the local school? It seems skaters are only leaving the regions.
MT: I would love to help Perm, but for some reason they always employ other specialists. In case of Stolbova/Novoselov, for example. I said it is a failure of a project, but other people were believed. The end was predictable.

Novogorsk training short clips (mostly Shcherbakova and Kostornaya) - from first step on ice after quarantine to few days later/today.

Well, clearly that man does not know how to let go of a grudge. She’s literally retired; he gains nothing by criticizing her in the media. He was actually pretty polite in his statements when she retired, but I see he’s back up to his old tricks.
