The weird and totally addictive "Severance" is back for a second season. I hope it is just as strange and compelling.

So I have watch what happens live on… well, it’s on in the background. And Patty Arquette and some woman from Game of Thrones is on. Is this the show they are promoting?

My Apple TV subscription ends this Friday. Other than watching Come from Away again, are there any movies/documentaries worth watching? I prefer lighter fare in movies.

Well, The Year Earth Changed, about the first year of the pandemic, is quite interesting. Also Fathom, about 2 groups of whale researchers.

My free Apple TV+ trial ends Wednesday but I have to renew it because I need to watch seasons 3 and 4 of Slow Horses. I think I have about 11 more episodes to watch. Slow Horses is so intense I can only watch one episode at a time, and since I finished my 4th go-round with Ted Lasso I’m re-watching Shrinking. Similar to Ted Lasso, I’m noticing things that I didn’t the first time around.

I’m about to watch the season 3 finale of Slow Horses and the suspense was killing me so much at the end of episode 5 that I actually googled to find out if River survives. I’ll watch it tonight. I have to say, watching Slow Horses while I’m on the treadmill at the gym is helping my cardio since my heart rate goes up with the suspense!

No spoilers please! I haven’t started it yet.

Saw a documentary on YouTube about the 1913 Italian Hall massacre. Someone yelled fire and in the crush to get out 73 people mostly women and children died. Except there was no fire. This incident is one of the reasons why we are always told you can’t yell fire in a crowded theatre. To this day no one knows who yelled fire or why. I found the whole incident tragic yet morbidly fascinating.

I had lost my “free” HBO Max subscription when I got a new cell phone because that promotion was no longer available. I said oh well and moved on. I had the ad-free version which is around $15/month.

Today I got an email with an offer for 6 months at around $8.50 for the ad-free version. I started to redeem it, thinking that it was going to expire this month, but the offer is good until October. I will probably redeem it in the summer so I can watch some new things while everything else I normally watch is on hiatus. This subscription level will also allow me to download some content that I’ll be able to watch when I’m out of the country, so that’s nice.

So, now that I've finished Slow Horses...

What was up with the story line about Harkness's overlords? The ones that threatened to carve him into little pieces if he didn't kill senior Cartwright, Lamb, and the other guy? He seemed unconcerned about walking out of MI5. Maybe they're the ones that would have leaked the secrets? Because his other son finally was killed so it wouldn't have been him, although he didn't know at that moment.... I felt like the story was not put together well for this last season, although it still had my heart rate up with the suspense! Had to slow the treadmill down, LOL

So who is the person who is always posting codes they find for getting all the streaming things cheaper. :shuffle: I don't have Hulu and Paradise is a show I would definitely watch if it was on something I'm already paying for. I pay so freaking much those streaming things and its too much money to pay for another one. How do you find those codes to get deals? So far I'm just seeing like the regular cost of the plans.

The best time to get Hulu is around Black Friday. They’ve done a deal the past three years where you can get it for $0.99 per month for a year.

I think Hulu also offers a free trial, so you could wait until all the episodes of Paradise have aired and then binge them during the trial.

Yes, Black Friday is the time for the Hulu sales, usually starting Monday or Tuesday that week. I’ve got it for $0.99/month for the past couple of years. (Once you have it, if you want the deal again, you should cancel before you get billed for November.)

I think most of the streaming services have free trials, but they vary. Definitely just wait for all the episodes to drop from the series you want and then try a free trial.

Best Buy often has free trials for sale; I know they’ve had a 3 month Apple TV free trial available quite often.

I don't have a preference on unknown or star but they need to cast that perfectly for it to work. Michael Landon was so iconic in that role and it's going to be hard to replace memories (real or idealized). The role of Laura or Nellie might be hard to cast too. I'm trying to think through the original cast. :COP:

I just found out Ladyparts had a second season! Only because I was looking at My Stuff for Euros replays. Thanks, Euros!
Season 2 is so good! I watched it last spring when it first went up in Canada.

Latest News: Netflix has just greenlit this reboot.

I’m not sure this is going to work unless you have a star in the Charles Ingalls role. 🤔
I don't care who is in it, but I would like them to do a proper adaptation of the books rather than 'based on characters and general themes from the books'. Don't get me wrong, I loved Litte House on TV but it wasn't the books, which I read repeatedly in my early teens.

I also wouldn't mind if someone did a true story version which wasn't always as positive as the books.
