He was just amazing in FS today. The Finnish audience just loved him.
My book launches tomorrow, and I’m going to be celebrating with the one and only @jasonbskates!
But before I ever knew I wanted to write a book, before @jasonbskates ever became an Olympian, before we both adopted shorter haircuts, before we were both iconically known to be LGBTQs…we were prom dates!
Tomorrow night Jason and I are going to be embracing all things camp and coming-of-age on Instagram live. Tune in at 8pm eastern to join my little virtual book launch! I can’t wait to party with you all.
I missed the live event, but her book launch [chat] with Jason is here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CVOy1_HlJos/
"Join figure skater Jason Brown to support families at Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon!"Still planning to visit @RMHC’s after my #GPFigure events, just with a slight twist! I’ve reached out to @RMHBC & they’ve provided me their wishlist of items their families need most. I hope u can join me in helping the House [check] some things off! #RMHC
"I woke up one day and my foot was swollen and really painful, and we learned that I had an avulsion fracture in my left metatarsal," he shared. "Fortunately, I have an incredible team of people who put a plan in motion to help me stay in shape while I recovered."
He's assigned to Golden Spin, so if he doesn't qualify for the GPF he's got one already scheduled.Maybe allow him a lower pressure event to pratice all his elements.
"Read on to see some of Jason's answers [transcribed from the Twitter Space live chat] below, as well. His responses have been edited for clarity and length."Twitter Spaces Live audio recording with Jason, Meryl, Elladj & Nick McCarvel from yesterday - Jason had some really fun/funny as well as thoughtful/revealing (about his mindset 4 years ago) moments: https://twitter.com/Olympics/status/1470530505401643011
Asked if the upcoming U.S. Championships would be his last, Jason Brown said he has not yet made a decision but can’t wrap his mind around having his career end in a bubbled or semi-bubbled competitive environment.
“I’m not staying at the host hotel, my parents have rented a car, so I’m trying to stay as distant as possible– which is hard for me but that health and safety is of the utmost importance and I just want to give as much of myself as I can to the audience in my performances.”
Jason, you got this! His coach is traveling with him so that will be a calming element.Jason has tweeted. Thanked Air Canada, American Air, and Delta for working together to help. Says it's been a really long day, but should arrive midday tomorrow if everything goes well. He posted a photo of himself on a plane. Looks like he's double masked.
What a bummer. This must be so stressful and tiring. Far from ideal. I hope it all turns out well.
