Averbukh did the New Year shows for kids every year. Now he does it in many cities at once. :encore:

Rina - a bunch of folks in Kulik's Krew would love to buy the DVD of the show from Ilya Averbukh. I may have an arrangement that could make it easier to fill an order because it would be one combined order with one large payment. Can you direct me to the right person in Ilia Averbukh productions?

As far as I know, DVD exists, though I didn't try to buy it, when I went to see the theatrical in Moscow. (I didn't see DVD, but I didn't look for the place, where people could buy it). It seems to me, that usually people buy DVD only on a show.

Rina, thank you so much for all the helpful information. I'll keep you posted. A friend from the US borrowed someone's DVD that was purchased at the show and said it's wonderful.

Maybe I didn't try to buy DVD, because I don't use DVD now. My computer doesn't want to work with them, and I don't do anything to change this situation. Maybe I'm wrong.
We liked the performance, of course. :) I've seen it twice.

So is it possible for any other people from other countries to join you, if they would like to have DVD too? (If you are still going to buy?)

We have an group from various countries over at Kulik's Krew and that's who I would be doing this for, any one of our folks who wants a DVD or anyone who joins us (it doesn't cost anything). There are so many people who would have loved to see R&J and just couldn't be there.

If you ask whether Averbukh made them or not... He made DVD of "Carmen" - that's for sure.

Thank you @Rina RUS I was asking because typically if there is a DVD or a show was aired on TV then someone will upload them. I usually find them on rutracker but didn't see either Carmen or R&J there (they do have Plushenko's 2016 Nutcracker for example). Thank you for the youtube of Carmen. Hopefully R&J will come out. I don't need the DVD.

To say the truth, I'm not sure, that DVD will appear on YouTube.
I think there is a big difference between TV and DVD. Plushenko's 2016 Nutcracker was aired on TV indeed (even though it was aired not on the Channel One). So it did appear.
Well, when Yagudin and some other skaters participated in the New Year TV-show (December 31 2015) on the Channel One, Yagudin's video (a short part of the show) appeared on a few internet channels.
The TV-version of Tarasova's "7.0" appeared too.
But as for these "Carmen" videos, they are posted only on one channel, as far as I see, and... there is one bad thing about them: each time the video is interrupted in the middle of the dance.
Other "Carmen" videos are made by viewers.

It seems Channel One isn't going to show every Averbukh's theatrical...
It is possible to say, that Channel One is nearly like the king among other TV-channels. Not all the people like this channel, and (of course) there are some channels which have nearly the same power, but... Channel One is Channel One. Maybe Averbukh doesn't want to lose the opportunity to work with it, so... maybe he doesn't try to go with his content to other channels now.

I don't know...

There were DVDs for Carmen as well as City Lights (I think), which was a production from a year or two ago. The merch counter from the R&J shows were incredible from what I've heard. Calendars with the cast, refrigerator magnets, etc... I suspect that all of them will be at the various Averbukh shows this winter (Alice in Wonderland and The Nutcracker).

The lineup for Alice in Wonderland is set with some changes from when it was first announced in Sochi.
Ilia Kulik will not take part in the play as the Mad Hatter.

Tanya Totmyanina had broken her leg, when they were skating "The Nutcracker" in Petersburg for the first time. (Berezhnaya and Kovtun also were skating with them) Yana Khokhlova agreed to replace Totmyanina.


alexei.yagudin: Unfortunately, sportive life is often connected with injuries! :wuzrobbed I am a fantastical optimist, so I think, that the life just gave @tatianatotmyanina time to have a rest! Thank you, @ykhokhlova, that you have learned all the theatrical in one night and saved the situation! Thank you all for words of encouragement for @tatianatotmyanina Right now my beloved has the surgery, but I'm assured (and no other variants) everything will be wonderful!!!! @tatianatotmyanina, get the treatment, recover and return to the best ice team @averbukhofficial!!!!! As for "Romeo and Juliet", they participate in the "Russian seasons in Italy" festival along with other theatricals, along with Valery Gergiev... Averbukh says they had a meeting with Mayor of Verona even before the first performance in Sochi, so they are going to skate in Verona on Oct 6 and Oct 7, they are going to skate in Turin and they also try to make an agreement with Rome.

Thanks a lot, Rina RUS! I will try. 17.00 Moscow time is fine for western Europeans and with a bit of luck, it won't be geoblocked. So many old favourite skaters!
