They also promise to perform in Moscow from October 28 to November 6 and in St.Petersburg from November 16 to November 18.
(Yet as for Moscow and Peter, I am not sure about Kulik, Volosozhar, Trankov. Maybe they promised, maybe Averbukh is ready to invite somebody else - like he invited Gordeeva to "Carmen"...)

It would be cool if Averbukh did an
ice version of the Broadway musical "Pierre and the Great Come of 1812"!

I keep asking on the FB page but alas... no response. Kulik seems to have fit in so perfectly into Averbukh's company so I hope he stays on board.
I imagine that the answer to your question might be that he will not extend beyond Sochi - I have no confirmation of that. I do agree that Ilia seems to fit well and is skating beautifully in this production. That's Ilia, the performer. Ilia, the coach, works with his daughter Liza who competes in the US and has moved to the Senior Ladies level this season. Balancing performing and coaching is, I'm sure, challenging and no doubt he is trying to do the best he can.

All that said, I do hope that he participates in future Averbukh projects as time permits - he appears happy and his still terrific skills are being used well.

ETA - Volosozhar and Trankov are also scheduled to leave after Sochi. The production has I think 3 weeks before opening in Moscow - lots of time for put-in rehearsals.

BTW, looks like Kulik might be staying with the show after Sochi. He will not be performing in the ScottCARES fundraiser in Cleveland on Nov. 4 telling the producers that he will be out of the country at that time. So he might still be with R&J.

Auerbuch never stops impressing me with his creativity and business skills ALL in one person. Just LUUUVE this guy!

Thank you, Tinami Amori. :) I love these people, because they love each other and give their love to many people around. Even Carmen's story looked like a happy celebration, when they presented it.

Averbukh's team has made a beautiful video about their love :):)

We also can see Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov in it, maybe it means, that Tatiana and Maxim are going to skate in Moscow, because the text in the end reminds about the performances in Moscow.

the video: Marinin and Somova, Yagudin and Totmyanina, Tikhonov and Petrova, Staviski and Denkova, Trankov and Volosozhar, Kostomarov and Domnina

By the way, Ilya uses not the word "show" in the end of this video. It is said: "dramatic theatrical on ice". I think I like it. Let it be! :)

Two quick takeaways on Tat's 70th:
1) Kulik still slays after all these years. I could watch him skate all day.
2) Tat's been around so long I was surprised to learn that she was just 70.

Was "Ruslan and Ludmila" Tale on Ice mentioned yet? Navka as "Lumila". Petr Chernyshev "Ruslan".... ha!
It is Navka's OWN production.

Yes, this is Navka's own show. She said she didn't know who could be her partner, she hoped Kostomarov could work with her.
"Ruslan and Ludmila" is a poem by Alexander Pushkin. It is said, that Pushkin had created the contemporary Russian language. Pushkin is "our everything".

Yes, Ilia decided to stay for the whole run and confirmed that he will be doing Alice in Wonderland also.

As for the "Alice" theatrical... the video on this page (https://icetickets.ru/events_page/?guid=2ba15b93-7c1d-11e7-93ef-d067e5eaac19) says: Gordeeva, but Kulik isn't mentioned now. The video also says, that Trankov is going to be The Hatter. Petrova and Tikhonov are going to be in this story too. In Moscow.

"The Nutcracker" (which was in Moscow a year ago) is going to be in St.Petersburg. (TTMM, Yagudin)
