Sorry for creating a new thread for this. I couldn't find one on Milan Worlds here in Great Skate Debate.
There are some good deals on flights to Europe right now from at least some origins. Two friends just booked their airfare for Worlds at about $200 less per ticket that the price as of a few days ago. At this time last year (meaning November) there were a lot of fare fluctuations, so you can certainly keep looking, but I suggest checking immediately to see what's on offer from your preferred origin airport. These fare dips often only last a day.
For example, there are non-stops well under $500 from NYC, one-stops under $600 from Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta. and Los Angeles. San Francisco and Seattle are just a bit higher.
There are also some decent options if you want to fly into a different city and then out of Milan, or vice versa, to see something else in Europe.
