Adelina Sotnikova uber thread

DobrinFan, has Buyanova's health condition recovered enough to work with Adelina? I don't think I saw her with Adelina at Golden Spin.

I think she is okay but not enough to travel out of the country. And I believe this is affecting Adelina like it affected Radionova when her coach got ill. Both girls gave similar interviews about how hard it is to travel without a coach for the first time. Hopefully Buyanova is healthy enough to travel with her to nationals :40beers:

That's what I thought too. Wish Buyanova will be in good health so that she can help Adelina putting things together when it counts the most.
 
Well, not exactly what we hoped for, but given the injuries, coaching issues and limited season, I'm satisfied. She's grown so much artistically and I think she just needed more time and training. I don't want her to quit even though the young skaters are skary good. I think she has so much more to give.

Maybe this will give her more motivation to get those jumps more consistent! :cheer2:
 
She needs to rest. I hope they don't place her on the Euro team ahead of Pog who had a rocky GP season but at least had a strong fall and really earned her bronze here.
 
Arent the skaters who finished 4th and 5th age ineligible? If so they will either send the top 3 to both Europeans and worlds, or rest 1 of Medvedeva or Radianova at Europeans and make it a skate off for the world team between Anna and Adelina at Europeans. No way do they just outright Adelina over Anna to those teams as it is now.

Tsurskaya is only 13 and Sotskova is also planning on junior worlds. So, the next in line is Adelina.

Thanks. So I would guess they will 70% likely do scenario A (Medevedeva, Radinova, Anna to both Europeans and Worlds unless one really bombs Europeans) or 30% likel scenario B (Medvedeva or Radianova skipping Europeans and a skate off between Anna and Adelina for the world team there).
 
Don't know if I care for the blonde hair but she is smiling and looks happy. Russian Nationals was probably insanely stressful for her. Whether or not she goes to Euros, Adelina has a little time to rest.

I've said it before, but she also looks like she could be a Jenner sister (a daughter Bruce/Caitlyn and Kris). I mean that as a compliment!

Okay help. Is Maria saying that because Adelina won the Olympic Gold, she has less motivation to work as hard as it takes to stay at the top?
 
I totally get that. Very few skaters keep going after OLY gold and even fewer of those are successful.
