I don't know why, but I find it more appealing when skaters just put one arm up above the head when jumping (tano) than the Rippon version with two arms.

Joos is actually ahead of Pezzetta in the Olympic race. Lara should be good to go.Has Italy already named Lara Naki Guttman to the Olympic team or is this a skate off between her and Anna Pezzetta? I know Pezzetta's GP season wasn't great and Guttman's was better but I seem to have missed if they named their woman for the Olympic team amongst the conversation about whether or not Italy is sending Memola or Rizzo.

Yup ... forgot about them. They most certainly were. And Lobacheva/Brissaud wuzrobbed.

It is confirmed for Gutmann here.Just checked the document I got for Italy:
Gutmann 612.21
Joos 562.91
Pezzetta 537.14
Going into Euros AFAIK because it's the document that named Frangipani ahead of Circelli if Memola were to have withdrawn
Catapult.
A rather eccentric friend of mine who lives on an island used to have a trebuchet (a variation on a catapult) and that thing was a blast to use.Oh, that's witty!![]()
Chris is JINXING her right now!!!The question is, just how badly can Pezzetta blow this.![]()

Excellent, thank you.Lara is named. She is about 20 points higher in the ranking
At worlds last year it took a score of 194+ to make top 10 and 2 European women did (Pinzarrone and Petrokina). If I were guessing, I would say 1-3 Europeans will be top 10 in Milan.Allowing that the ice is slippery, blah blah, and that anything can happen, blah blah, and that the judges gonna judge, bleep blorp: Considering the three American women, three Japanese women, two Korean women and then Petrosian/Schizas/Samodelkina, what chances do any of these women even have of cracking the top 10 in Milan? (FWIW, if I were a betting woman, my money would be on Gutmann to be the one to manage it.)
whickety-whack +5 goeI wish Kimmy would bend her knees more on her landings, but her height gives a really striking appearance to her skating. Good for her coming back from injury (but maybe take a few things off the dress, it's very busy).
Great to see her back.
