2026 Europeans - Men Short Program - Manarchy In The UK

Andreas Nordeback

oh another skater that I like.

This men competition is a treat so far :inavoid:

3axel
3flip nice
3z3toe three turns out of it

he is no Berntsson or Schultheiß, but still has his own very unique style - Sweden knows how to produce them

Andreas is the future of angsty artistic European skaters, and I'm just waiting for him to have a truly iconic program.

Incidentally, I was surprised that LIndfors has left Virpi Horttana - do you know when that happened and why?
It's been a year or two now, IIRC. Maybe summer of 2024? Not sure why exactly, but there are several men skating (unlike most clubs in Finland which are mostly women) at the Peurunka Skating Club so I imagine that was a plus. It's become a bit of a men's skating hub in Finland.

Nordeback stepped up to the plate too. Good job. Cute how he pulled his top down when it crept up during the camel spin. Nathan Chen would have just let it keep creeping. ;)

eta: His coach reminds me of a young Cher ..... without all the GLAM, of course. I think it's the cheekbones combined with the hair.

Israel has an endless supply of somewhat nice boys. I don't think I have ever seen Kuperman, but if he's better than Vincour and Gorodnitski, it's not bad. And Sheikos are on the way too.

Zandron
3axel fall out
3flip landed a bit too forward, no flow
3lutz 3toe best jumps

That was messy, and this program has been used too many times.

Tomas.
I'm.... speechless.
It's so dumb it might actually do the whole circle and become fun again. I'm not sure it did though.
I think I hate it more than I find it amusing.

Tomas-Llorenc GUARINO SABATE

3a fall
3flip was really good and flowy
3z3t

he did not let the opening mistake sour the rest of the program. very good energy, interesting and unusual moves

Chris loved it.
That makes one of us.
As an endless apologist of Spanish skaters, I want to make an official statement that this program sucked big time.

3F!
Change Foot Combo Spin 4

3Lz+3T - struggled to hold the landing on the first jump
Change Foot Camel Spin 4

Step Sequence 3

Another skater that was all over the place in the program. Fun, and entertaining choreography but somewhat blunted by the mistakes, and yet also appropriate for a Minions themed program.

-1.00 = Falls
Q 67.94 = 5th Place
