Yay, good for L/E. I liked all the top 5. And it was lovely to see the Aussies back even though they aren't back to their best.

Well that’s fair judging. The Canadians almost put me to sleep at 3:40 in the afternoon but they were clean.

Wild that in the 2026 the second ranked Japanese pair are ahead of the US champions (and deservedly so).

Hmmmmm... Only a 2tw for GoluGM and a skiddy landing on the throw 3lo. They definitely didn't withdraw just for her Aussie citizenship, but also because of injury and that's clear from how they're looking today. They may wind up being one of the teams that doesn't make the FS in Milano-Cortina.

The twist has always been a problem for these two. But am happy to see them back on the ice.

I went to bed but watched the pairs to see Anastasia and Hektor.

I am so pleased to see them back. I think there is a new level of maturity with their skating. That twist has never been strong for them which is a shame.

The thing I am most proud of them is the level of sportsmanship between them. Hektor always shows her the utmost respect and care for her. Even if things haven't gone the best they still hug and congratulate each other. There appears a genuine good working relationship between them.

After what happened to Katia, which was frankly a disaster for our sport here in Australia, it might be a small thing but it is important to the mental health of athletes in our sport and I want to see happy skaters.
