2026 4CC - Pairs Short Program

They were very cautious going into the throw, I am not surprised, it did not work
still promising team - do I confuse them with another pair or wasn't there talk about them splitting up a year or two ago? If so, good that they reconsidered

I don't recall seeing any rumors or discussion about them splitting up. She was dealing with some pretty serious injuries last season though, so maybe there was some light chatter along those lines?

Not a great senior championship debut for Kemp/Eli but good experience for them nonetheless. Because I care about silly things, "Kemp" means a coarse wool fibre and "Eliza(beth)" means "pledged to God" so K/E will now forever me to known to me as "a wool fibre pledged to the Skategods" :) Hopefully, this means we will be saved from some bad costume choices.

McBark - Gorgeous 3tw, albeit only a L1; and she goes down on the SBS 3t then steps out and puts her free foot down early on the throw 3z. Well, this is rather inauspicious.

Based on their TES, I'm guessing that goes behind GoluGM in the standings.

ETA - well, just a smidge ahead of them due to slightly higher PCS.

 because now I can only visualise lambs to the slaughter.

they are still very very fast but I think they reigned in their speed a bit in exchange for more control? Really love them so so much

Japanese team finally waking me up during this competition. And I technically woke up hours ago.
See, I'm feeling very sleepy and praying these last two teams skate fast. I need a couple more hours of sleep before I have to get up to work.

Well you need to make better life choices. Nothing today was worth staying up all night for ;)
If I weren't bedridden I wouldn't even be watching :D

The Japanese are very plausible for the TE if they want to spare Miura one program.
Yes and no. They will score well but they're going to be closer to KamO in both segments than Team Japan can afford if they want to contend for gold.

So, today Alisa's the one with the hand down on the SBS 3t rather than Misha. And finished a smidge behind the music. Should go into 2nd though, but we'll see if the panel gives her 3t a rotation call.

Behind NagaMori - hmmmmm... I suppose that's fair though I'd have had them ahead.

Poor you, having to listen to Tara and Johnny so early in the morning.
It's a choice. I could have stayed with Chris but then I'd have been watching on the other computer monitor instead of the TV.

LaurEth are making a game fight for the top 4 but I can't see it happening. They should easily slot in ahead of ShiNagy though.
