lol girl their basics are really good and honestly their pairs elements sans the twist are just as good as most of the other pairs here (with a couple exceptions)

I agree. They are clearly new to pairs but they have lots of potential. He honestly might be the best US pairs boy skating currently (yes I said it) and she won the lottery with him as a partner to learn pairs. She also has that pair girl grit. I’m excited to see where they will be next year!

Martins/Bedard: Twist pretty bad, but lovely sbs 3s and throw 3s. They look very junior-ish in these steps though, definitely not in synch.

listen, the ice dance matrix also applies to pairs... I already have my teams to uber and will not brook any threat to their Olympic team chances.

For movement quality, I'd rather watch Shin/Balasz, but Martins/Bedard have fantastic timing and unison together, especially in that step sequence that was about five minutes long.
