I mean, at some point you have to accept that costumes cost money and not everyone can afford the most unique and blingy ones, especially in the first group at US Nationals.

While I agree in theory, at my rink a lot of the kids bought a somewhat generic costume and then blinged it up themselves. It's relatively cheap to do that.

Agreed! They will go into last, but I'm sure just getting here is the goal for them. It's nice to get to see the teams for whom just getting to nationals is the goal.

Melillo/Schapfel both have kind of hunchy posture. I kind of like them - but I have this backstory going on that they are parents shocking the kids at the rink by showing how they used to do it back in the day.

I don't know about that music fade out to end the program, though

Melilo/Schapfel: Even though they are not close to the top ranks, this low ranked team had the most secure rotational lift so far, over more hyped youngster teams.

Quite tidy skating for someone out of Hayden. They no longer have a full slate of coaches since the haydenettes moved to Norwood. For a guy who looks like he just stepped out from behind the pot shop counter, bravo.
