2025 US Nats Pair FS PBP - "Je Suis Malade" but she still keeps talking...

I'd think so. C/H have the second* worst of the 3 US teams placement from last Worlds, and a less than stellar GP season. (5 & 5 vs. 5 & 7 for MacBeath and Parkman).
Yeah, I'm not really feeling like they've demonstrated they deserve it. They had a messy FS at Golden Spin and nearly lost to ShiNagy.
Chan and Howe will be told to get healthy and come back next season. With a new damn free skate.
From your lips to the Letovs ears! That FS is just terrible. And you know it's bad when I'm trashing it because we both know how much I love ChanHowe, lol.

I just have to say that Efimova's evasive, standoffish response to Phil Hersh (when he asked her something like how she expected to go to the '26 Olympics) turned me off to her.

Or maybe it was just a not-so-confident in English/doesn't know the laws type of thing.

Here are the facts. If she got married the minute she and Misha had their first practice session, she's still going to be short of 3 years 'married' by the time the Olympics come around. Marriage expedites the process to be able to get a green card and start getting documentation in order, but it's still ~ 4 years time via that path.

Unless they are married and some extraordinary athlete thing touches the soul of some Congressperson, which I wouldn't know about.

Oh, when our top 5 teams are skating clean, they're all deserving of a spot. And by next season, I think we do have three teams that should go.

Sure, but I haven't seen anyone discuss it being likely that we'd get them. Kam and O'Shea's SB is 6th and EffMit 9th. It's possible if they hit and others miss, but not likely.

Dear Congress. We know you have orders to do mass deportation but figure skating needs applications for mass naturalization. We have Gordeeva.2 and a Russian truck driver with lovely muscles and triple flips. We will raise money through corrupt bitcoins to thank you for your corruption effort. PS: pair skating is more exciting than pageant competitions. 😉

You didn't see Karen telling me that it was going to be highly likely a few weeks ago? ;)

And let me ETA clarify that it was a USA vs Italy discussion on who had the better chance to end up with 3 spots, and Karen believed K/O were going to slot into the top 5.

yeah i just assume she doesn't know the laws and such and her team is just like "let the lawyers handle it" so she's just like "cool ok"

but a secret marriage would be objectively funnier so i'm hoping for that

I feel like pairs is where ladies was a few years ago--no way we're getting three, but no way we're getting one either.

I'm OK with evasive, standoffish responses to Phil Hersh. That actually makes me like her MORE.
