2025 Skate Canada Pairs SP PBP - Carmina BOO-rana

His 2A (not done here) is one of the best I've ever seen. The twist is massive. There was a pic on their IG from a competition last weekend and it's insanely high. The throw gets distance. She has always been a go-getter fearless partner and I expect massive stuff from them.

The lift here looked sticky.

Still, I suspect this may be one of the better performances of the day
:p

I love that the Skate Canada dailymotion feed won't have commentary during the program. I have to say the picture is crystal clear and way better quality than usual.
Gem is using the Dailymotion feed and it looks way better than the last time I tried using Gem instead of VPN'ing my way to another country for YouTube

VouBou - 3tw - gorgeous; SBS 3t - nicely done; throw 3lo - fabulous; lift - he could be a bit smoother, but fine otherwise; step seq - alright; BIDS - good; SBS spins - maybe a little TOO close and not terribly in synch plus the distance definitely shifted between positions.

I agree with @tony - this is a team to watch for the future. The improvement from Tom in particular is just astounding from where he was a couple years ago and with his last partner.

Wow what a Senior debut for the Swiss!! That had a lot of wow elements. Such great progress from them! I enjoyed the program, hopefully they develop more connection and expression in the program as the season progresses. They should be very pleased with that! Tons of future potential for them.

The Swiss really do have a lot of potential. It's going to be fun seeing them develop over the next couple of seasons.

Vouillamoz/Bouvart: Pretty good except that scary close sbs spin. They could clean up their transitions in and out of the elements.

Oxana Vouillamoz/Tom Bouvart 🇨🇭
Coach: Claude Peri, Lola Esbrat
Music: Liberian Girl, Smooth Criminal

Triple Twist 3
3T
Throw 3Lo
Reverse Lasso Lift 4
Step Sequence 4
Back Inside Death Spiral
3 (2 after review)
Change Foot Combo Spin 3 - too close to start, and then a fair bit of travelling

That was a much better start to the competition than I was expecting. Really good technical elements, and some nice performance quality.

61.54 = 1st Place

They were at Worlds and Euros last year ;) but big improvements.

I turned it on and got ads so I moved to Dailymotion. (Radio-Canada didn't have ads but I can't with Alain Goldberg.

Don't love the program for the swiss (feels a bit junior to me), but they're so talented, can't wait to watch them grow.

Vouillamoz/Bouvart were fab, hard to believe he’s the same guy who used to skate with Coline Kériven. Also a hair glow up since last season!

I never get trick or treaters so I don’t buy candy anymore

Not their senior debut - they were at Worlds in Boston last year but didn't make the FS. GP debut, though, and they'll certainly be in line for 2 GPs next season, I think.

Wow the Swiss team was much better than I expected! I really enjoyed that. I don't recognize them - should I? They seemed too good to be the first skaters.
