I considered that of course, her dual citizenship, but as you say she is a Canadian citizen skating for Canada IN Canada.

Since the medal ceremony was after the women, I only just saw it, and the elderly official putting the medal on the flower girl might be the funniest thing that's ever happened on a podium. Danny was losing his shit. (and nearly his medal!)

I agree it's offensive -- and I come from the generally opposite perspective as you. Someone in the arena should kindly but firmly ask them to put it away.

FWIW I'd feel the same way about any "hybrid" flag although this one is especially bad. I generally don't feel people should take liberties with countries' flags.
