"Over two points adrift of the leaders" -- I've never heard it put like that before.

This LP feels like it was choreographed by Tutberidze, with all the stupid gimmicks and excessive dramatic posing.

I really should like this team, and yet I'm mostly annoyed. They are not as clean as H/V, less matched, but faster and cover more ice. The jumps were bigger but also further apart. Luckily Luca stepped out on the salcow, so they makes the judgement easier.

4 Anastasiia METELKINA / Luka BERULAVA GEO 3 75.04

3sal 2ax 2ax Her landing is tilting a bit
3tl He messed the landing

Preferred the Germans.

A better free skate than we've seen from this team for a couple months, but still a bit messy, and unfinished compared to their short programs.

136.49 = 2nd Place
211.53 = 2nd Place

MetBeru - 3tw - very soft; SBS 3s+2a+2a - too far apart for my liking, but done; SBS 3t - fast down on the free leg for him; throw 3f - beautiful; first lift - good Lord, the look on his face - they're lucky it didn't come down; throw 3lo - not sure about her free leg - may have scraped the ice; BODS - fine; combo spin - decent; lol @ this obvious rest break; second lift - better than the first one; last lift - he really has the most petrified look on his face during the lifts; choreo seq - why did they even bother?

This should definitely drop them behind the Germans. Maybe even behind the Hungarians...

For sure going behind the Germans.

5ALi down to level 2. PCoSp4 got a V also. Everything else I think the levels held, including the BoDs at level 1.

I really wish the announcer calling Miura/Kihara "RikuRyu" It's annoying. THey have names.

5 Sara CONTI / Niccolo MACII ITA 2 77.22

That 3sal was gorgeous.
I don't find this program appealing.

Crowd loving it.

A beautiful performance, and hopefully it will be repeated in a couple months on home ice.

I really hate this music. They were fire in the sp, they really should have had something more upbeat, they do it well.

Probably the best jumps in the terms of distance and sync, but I wouldn't want my life to depends on the finished rotation. Neat death spiral into pair spin. Probably the worst lifts or the top pairs, but then again, I'm shocked he can lift anything heavier than a fork.

I like them, I wouldn't mind them getting an Olympic medal. I'm not impressed by this lp. But at least it's not Sawchenko 2.0

ConMac - 3tw - beautiful; SBS 3t+2a+2a - bit sketchy on the landing of the last one for her, but good otherwise; first lift - solid; SBS 3s - gorgeous; throw 3lo - excellent; second lift - decent; BODS - very nice and right into the combo spin - probably one of my fave transitions from one element to the next this season; throw 3s - swish; last lift - beautiful; choreo seq - best one yet.

Absolutely fabulous program. They're really setting themselves up for an Olympic medal, maybe two if things go right in the TE.
