I thought that was GFB? lol Google's shot: "FGB" can have several meanings depending on the context, including Fibrinogen beta chain (a protein in blood clotting), First Gulf Bank (an Emirati bank), Functional Cargo Block (a component of the International Space Station), or the Franco-German Brigade.

I hope I can stay awake for the women, but I'm very certain I'll wind up falling asleep for the men.

I just realized that there are only 11 Women here. What happened to the 12th one?

Yoshida - and down on the 3a attempt right from the off. Ooooof - and pops the loop for the 3rd jumping pass. This is not a good start - and this music is not helping my need for sleep.

Best part of Yoshida's program were the weird mime hand pushes she did during the steps.

Other than that, she's just skating through mostly quiet / silent music.

Yoshida - Fall on triple axel, nowhere near rotated, and single loop, ouch. Flip popped/double footed as well. Not a good start. Not sure the jumps in the sequence were all the way around either.

Yeah, the errors on the jumps deflated the whole performance. She's not going to pull up any places with that (now watch someone else come out and not land anything).

I don't understand the music change for Yoshida - from Japanese to La Terre Vue du Ciel at the end there.

Zhang has raided a Korean skater's hair accessory drawer.

Her jumps don't get a lot of height but most of them seem good otherwise (one was obviously under in real time). Spins and footwork were fine. Nicely skated.

Gesturing in the face of the judges. Please ban people from doing this.

Not quite the energy of the Olympic qualifier, but overall a better skate today.

3Lz+REP and I think it was short anyways. All of her jumps land with a huge thud, no runout, and she extends the exact same way every time.

Still needs to get her jumps under control, they will score massively even without runout because of the amplitude. But this program is really nothing.

I'm used to whickety-whack on the costume or on everything, but this relatively normal costume with the whickety-whack gloves is interesting. I assume the gloves are supposed to suggest feathers. I'm not sure the effect really works when she's in motion, though.

Pezzetta - Insert my standard gripe that adding dramatic music flourishes does not mean the music isn't really just Swan Lake rather than Black Swan.

She's not skating to the music at all, and is going too slowly for much of it. The opening pose was the only thing that said either Swan Lake or Black Swan to me (actually I guess the lying on the ice did reflect the last part of the movie but it had already lost me by then).

I don't mind non-interpretation of the Swan Lake story and just using the music on its own, but then don't go for the Black Swan costuming.

Anna Pezzetta 🇮🇹
Rank after SP: 9
Coach: Alisa Mikonsaari, Angelina Turenko
Music: Black Swan (soundtrack) by Clint Mansell

3F - slow check out
2A+3T - nice height, and length
3Lo

3Lz - big step out, stumble

3S+2T

3Lz<+REP - pitched forward, tight landing
3S
Choreo Sequence
Step Sequence 2
Change Foot Combo Spin
3 (4 after review)
Layback Spin 3 (4 after review)

Big jumps, but not the control to do some of the more difficult combinations that other skaters are doing.

116.45 - 2nd Place
178.34 = 2nd Place
