2025 Cup of China Men's Free PBP - The Biffed Element

What a gorgeous rendition of Hallelujah by The Canadian Tenors. Unfortunately, for Sota, the music couldn't lift him out of his funk today. What a shame ... you've got to feel for him after that skate. :(

Technical tracker breaks again for Sota sparing him momentarily from his fate. His timing was off starting with the 2nd jump on which he hesitated before ultimately attempting, and falling. After that he started to change the program around, and eventually skated through an entire jumping pass.

124.10 = 8th Place
211.67 = 6th Place

The closest I've felt to Sota just losing the balance and on timing in the jumps is in tennis when my mind, body, and soul just forget how to hit a forehand.

4S fine review it. But still crazy how much lift he gets on it. Lutz because of the landing is definitely getting reviewed.

He really is taking from the Malinin playbook which will get him the high PCS and the medals because of his jumps. But I think he has more innate musical sense than Ilia for sure, he just doesn't show it in his skating. And again with these random mashups.

Pulling from Ilia too, to a lesser extent by doing a 3Lz+3A at the end :lol:

Big jumping, but the program is ghastly, and what was he doing during, and after the step sequence.

-1.00 = Falls
174.34 = 1st Place
262.67 = 1st Place

WOW .... Shaidorov giving it his all. Dude can jump! He and Ilia together could put on a fantastic seminar on jumping.

And, oh, there's Urmy again, so I'm in my happy place. :)
