ONE OF MY FAVORITE NIGHTS OF THE YEAR!!! :cheer: :encore::drama: :cheer2: :wuzrobbed

"The Tony Awards: Act One" will play on PLUTO TV for free (via smart TV app, web app, mobile app or online). It is apparently going to be under the "Live Music" channel. It begins at 6:40 pm EST.

The regular ceremony begins at 8:00 pm EST on CBS (and also on Paramount+ for "Paramount + SHOWTIME" subscribers only.)

The host will be Cynthia Erivo this year.

Live performances from the original cast of "Hamilton", plus nominated shows: "Buena Vista Social Club", "Dead Outlaw", "Death Becomes Her", "Floyd Collins", "Gypsy", "Maybe Happy Ending", "Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical", "Pirates! The Penzance Musical", "Sunset Blvd"., along with a special appearance by the 2019 Tony Honor Recipient Broadway Inspirational Voices. "Just In Time" and "Real Women Have Curves", which were not nominated for Best Musical (though they received nominations in other categories) will also be performing.

There won't be any musical numbers until the CBS broadcast, if that helps.
 
I’m not sure what I think of the top and back of Erivo’s dress for this opening number.

Maybe it’s the tailoring………

I'm not super savvy on Broadway mostly because of how far away I live but I know enough to know that this makes perfect sense. I've been seeing tons of people talking about her in this since it started.
