I noted that the caller gave higher levels to the men in each of the top five teams. Agree that Christina, Marjorie, Piper looked a bit off today, and Emilia’s tech still lags Vadym, but I actually thought Chock was precise today. Compared to Nats, anyway.

I like LaLa trying angst. It’s harder to believe in comedic Zack in the RD.

I will never understand that GilPoi FD although I’ve liked the Procol Harem version for 50 years. It’s the worst FD of the top ten teams for me. And I’ve liked many of their other FDs so it’s not bias against the team.

Evan is particularly good at jazz.

Annie Lennox' version of Whiter Shade of Pale is my personal favourite, and has been since Diva! came out. I was overjoyed that they used her version.

OTOH I loathe the music cuts in Chock & Bates program. Take 5 is another favourite piece of music, but none the versions they used have any appeal for me, except than the Brubeck version.

I have some wonderful memories of the "last dance" being to "Whiter Shade of Pale". I am not sure I ever really caught too many of the words but they seemed immaterial. My conversation with my husband "when you were a youth/young adult did they often play WSOP as the last dance? "YUP". Did you understand what it was about? "Nope".

Zing/Kol I feel are trying to imitate Parsons/Green. They will NEVER be as cool as Parsons/Green. (I feel for Kolesnik being a Ukrainian in the current US environment )
Car/Pon. Yeah, it’s Carmen. At least they use some lesser-known cuts. I appreciate that she’s trying to echo the green in her dress with her earrings, but the earrings are a NO from me.
La/La. Trying to decide if I like her dress or if it looks like a “oh sh*t I put my darks in with my lights and it bled all over my new flesh-toned dress” garment. That version of Sounds of Silence will always have a black mark on it due to Dick Pic Frenchman, alas. PS Roman Hagenauer is quite handsome.
Cho/Bat. Just say NO to the Baptist bump hairdo, Madison. You’re too pretty for that. Still don’t like the changes she made to her dress last fall from its original design.
Piper/Paul. No, the program still makes no sense. Tango dance break is still fab. New dress is an improvement but… everything about this program screams, “we have the MOST awesome program cooked up for the Olympics and this is a bunch of leftovers.”

Nights in White Satin was a last dance. That WAS the Moody Blues. I still have a soft spot for that song.

For us it was "Hey Jude." Long enough to get the most reluctant 7th-graders on the dance floor.

In the old days of Project Runway, Nina Garcia would have serious questions about Piper and Paul’s taste level. They are almost always…kind of tacky. This seems to work to their advantage in the rhythm dance—my favorite program of theirs BY FAR. I think it works against them in the free dance. I am glad they won here because it makes Worlds more interesting. I think they need a 3+ point lead in the RD to have a shot in Boston.

I was optimistic that the E! broadcast of pairs and dance would have Ben for the dance portion. Nope! I refuse to listen to Tara on an ice dance broadcast. Sorry, honey, not sorry.
