Happy for the Canadians, so often 2nd/3rd. But I don`t get the scoring here. Agree with Chris what Chock/Bates have so much more complicated skate. Oh well, on to Worlds!

I wasn't paying attention, tbh. As it is, right now I can barely hear him.

It’s good motivation in the very least to train and push harder for Worlds and beyond. Gilles/Poirier have historically struggled with frustration and a twinge of resentment at their scoring and inability to break through certain levels. These types of victories are both literal and moral.

Some of my favorite programs and choreographic moments and steps come from Gilles/Poirier, but there is no doubt their FDs have grown more generic. Piper doesn’t have good turnout or extension and it really is unfortunately highlighted in the tango moments of this program. The mismatch with Paul is quite jarring at times.
