2024 World Figure Skating Championships in Montreal

Snail mail is the last thing I would request. When I send family members first class mail to Canada from the US it can take weeks. I was thrilled to see the good old will call. I figure one stop at the box office and I’m done.

Well, the event isn't until 2024.....

I'm glad there is a hard ticket option. It was very inconvenient not having one at Nationals. Mom's phone wouldn't download the ap so it was only on my phone & that meant we couldn't arrive at separate times for an event unless the person there early came outside to meet the person arriving later in order to help the second person enter the arena.

(Also, I don't recall there ever being much of a line at the will-call window for a skating event. A handful of people, maybe; but then we always go to early practices so that wouldn't be a busy time).

Does anyone know if it's possible to change to mail tickets vs will call after the fact? Was so busy trying to get the tickets purchased in the allotted time that didn't even notice the delivery options. Just assumed it would be digital in this day and age.

Yes you can go into your email confirmation or log into Ticketmaster and change it to mail. I did that since I didn’t notice it defaulted to will call. ( i assumed electronic tickets)

A heads up that they probably won't print the paper tickets until the times are announced for each event -- not sure what the timeline on that is, but it could potentially cut things close for anyone relying on international mail.

edited because i had meant to include the word "probably"

My flight was booked before I had the tickets...........but I was using points.

The site said that the tickets would be mailed about 2 weeks after purchase?

Thanks Debbie S, that's really helpful!

I can't decide where I'm going to try to sit. Two seats in the middle and close to the ice are a bit above my price range. But, we went to Four Continents this year and had single event tickets so we sat in various parts of the Broadmoor Arena. It was interesting to see which areas we enjoyed - I didn't mind the end sections most of the time, although it seemed very far away when a skater would do something interesting at the far end!

Anyway, I've been trying to evaluate areas using this site, and am finding it helpful: https://aviewfrommyseat.com/venue/Centre+Bell/

I had seats in different sections for 2020 - everything but ladies. Some of them I picked location to see particular highlights. They were less than all event. I think I had practice ticket too but can’t remember how that happened.

Trying to figure out what to do this time or at all since I live an hour from Boston and my mom is an hour from Columbus. 3 major events in 16 months is a lot to ask. But I’d be annoyed if I missed Jason’s last competition

These prices are LUDICROUS! I LOVE skating but there's NO WAY I would pay that when I can have the best seat in the house sitting in front of my screen at home. I know it's exciting to see the skaters 'live" (and I've done it many times) but there's a limit to what I'm willing to pay. Added to the ticket prices, you have air fare, hotel costs and meals. Ah ... no... I will thoroughly enjoy Worlds from the comfort of my living room next March. 🙂
They seem higher than I recall in 2020:(

I just came across my paperwork from 2020 a few weeks ago - I had paid $1680 for an all-event ticket that was fees and taxes included. I was in the lower bowl, I think section 122 or 123, row S.
Hoping to get in the same area this time when I order my ticket on Thursday. It’s Thursday for general public, right?

I was going to wait a bit before getting my ticket, but I decided that I really wanted an aisle seat, so I went ahead and did it today.

Section 118, Row K, Seat 1

As expensive as the tickets are, I think they are actually a bit cheaper than 2020. Last time I was in Row V and paid $1300; this time that same seat is $929. So for 2024 I decided to put in a bit extra and get a better seat. :)

This is probably a question I should have asked last weekend but, does Centre Bell have handrails in the aisles?

The virtual seat map shows railings but there are some breaks in them.

Has it been posted anywhere which events are on which days? Trying to figure out if the competition starts on Wednesday or Thursday.

Also, at the email saying the pre-sale runs through tomorrow morning when in reality it closed earlier tonight.

I believe practices start Tuesday? Registration on Monday but not confirmed, it could be Monday? Comp Weds. I just got my return train tickets instead of flying and business class was just about the same as economy! My apt is in a good location so can walk 20 min or a 5 min Uber or subway 15 Min.

Usually Worlds practices start Monday? I remember in Boston they did, and lIRC they did at this year's Worlds.

ETA: Yes, just looked at the full sched for this year's Worlds and practices did start Monday, 2 per day.

It sounds like we won't have access to the practice rink, wherever that is?

In 2020 the practice rink was McConnell Arena, about 10 minutes from the Bell Centre. I don’t remember if there was any communication then about being open to the public.

I'm sure practice does start on Monday, but usually with Worlds it seems like only a third (maybe) of the skaters show up for practice in the arena that day. I really can't imagine any of the Montreal dance or pairs teams will be there. I expect anyone training on the east coast will fly in on Monday to maximize their training in their home camp.

I just got my 2024 Worlds tickets in the mail today! - that was fast however I live in Ottawa Canada & the tickets were mailed from Toronto. Only problem is that they have an error on the name of the events for Friday.

Got my tickets today as well. No bar code or QR code but they have a chip embedded in the ticket so you just ‘tap’ your ticket to get in. (I live in Toronto)

Susy were your tickets printed incorrectly as well? Friday and Saturday showing the same events?
