I know the season has already started, but I feel like this thread needs to be started with today's big news out of the Pac-12 -

Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and San Diego State have joined the Pac-12 effective for the 2026 season. The Pac still needs to add 2 teams to get back to 8 teams per NCAA requirements to be considered a conference. Lots of rumors about who else may join the Pac-12. These 4 teams are all from the Mountain West, which will leave the MWC at 8 teams, so it's a huge question mark as to whether or not they'll take any other MWC teams - but if they did, the next likely MWC teams are UNLV and Air Force, IMO. Other schools that may be under consideration could be Rice, Memphis, North Texas and UTSA from the AAC.

There's all sorts of ongoing litigation between the ACC and Florida St & Clemson as both of them try to get out of the grant of rights contracts so they can move to other conferences (the B1G is rumored to want FSU, not sure about where Clemson will go).

Oh my God. You can take apart the Pac-12 but Pac-12 After Dark lives on, long and hard. I hate the B1G for destroying my Pac-12 enough that you made me root for the HUSKIES last week and I was pleased when they beat Michigan at Husky Stadium, and there've been some wild games with other former Pac-12 conference members and the two left for scraps, but tonight's game at Autzen was OFF THE HOOK!!!! I have soooooo much joy in my heart right now.

Oregon 32 - Ohio State 31.

Speaking of games I had 0 hope for, apparently I have ALL the luck today (Michigan for grad school, Syracuse for Undergrad).

Can't believe my teams upset two playoff bound teams in one day!!

Look, there's only one Huskies team that matters ever in college football - and right now, they're getting their a$$es handed to them at Autzen. If I can't have my traditional Civil War game this weekend, then I'll take the Ducks kicking UW's snotty rears back to Seattle and then some any day.

I felt the same watching Oregon play in mostly black & grey uniforms last night. I know they've used black for many years, but usually they've incorporated more green and yellow into their look than they had last night (just a dark, metallic green for the player's name & outlining the number on the jerseys), and it was quite odd.

However it's very strange she is becoming a Mahomes fan. Sort of, maybe. She does have stories of her daily walks with her dogs that are entertaining.

But she will watch all the games, despite what she says.

Umich went with the bold strategy of “score 16 points off turnovers in the first quarter and then just hold them to less” strategy against Bama.

I can’t say I thought it was going to be successful, especially once we had to put in a backup QB, but I guess that’s why I’m not the coach!

Today's first game isn't off to a much better start, though at least the Sun Devils did manage to make their first field goal attempt in the first quarter.
